Character animations is not a problem.
But modeling a vehicle, and especially texturing it is one.
And each vehicle should be somewhat unique. I mean, it should have different weapons and behaviours. Not just a different model with another MG. |

Since when is there... MarsWars in RF?
The whole idea of this isnt to remake RF, its to make what we think RF would have been had it been made by Epic in place of UT2004... which may included new models... well acally, which WILL. Powercores/nodes more vehicles, players, weapon mutators... maps... statics... ect... |

How about you use a "Mars Rover" in a custom map made specifically for the MOD?! Not in a default... It would just feel weird playing this and having a vehicle not seen in the game honestly 
As it's "our view". The project idea(backboard if you will), is based around the "feel" of Red Faction itself. These extra little vehicles may take away that feeling. I actually enjoy the default maps without vehicles.... Dunno about anyone else. |

Asking MF now... im preety sure hes gonna be a mapper..
I can make a skin for the model if you give me the UV map.
hmm... how about a gun (the second place on the mars rover) that shoots nades? which time out and blow up after say 10 seconds. But they stick to whatever they touch, so like timed remote mines 
and the first player position is driving 
Sobe, we dont have vehicles in any RF maps sept TAOW, Which we may still make a CTF-TAOW based EXACTALLY from RF, with no epcial effects, just remade exactally... which does have access to the top tunnels, which were the hart of the gameplay on that map. The VCTF version has totally differnt gameplay. the orginal TAOW has sniping oprotunitys in the middle and stealth oprotunitys in the top tunnels... the new one doesnt. I say we also make a CTF version which will be (what i stated above) an EXACT copy of the RF map |

I'm pretty happy with the amount of the current vehicles.
Each vehicle covers different tactical elements.
It's not that I don't want to have any other vehicles, its the lack of ideas and time. And I think its the quality that counts, not just the quantity.
Also, if there should be more vehicles we'll also need more maps for them. I can't just put all kinds of vehicles in one single map. 
DVL_IAC I don't know where I can find the new skyboxes you've made. I was about to ask you many times but I never did
Can you send me a few skyboxes to my email, or can I download them somewhere? |

I know, have you not been listening? ( ) we are going to release more maps after the MW release. Oh, you might want to add a disclaimer that we cant ensure the stability of any maps that arent made by offical MarsWars members.
Also, one thing, its about the credits... I really do think that it should read:
The MarsWars Mod Team:
Lead Designer: Sven "REDFROG" Maart
Co-Leaders: Chris "Goober" Parsons & <assultmans first name>"Assaultman67" <assultmans last name>(I dont know assaultmans name)
Then list the following:
Programmer:

Goober (i will have at least 1 map in the release, then a number of maps after the release)

There all here on l4y in the skybox section of the red faction section. link
All the "mars sky" ones were made for the mod and the TAOW one, the above clouds sky night one, and the icy planet one. the TAOW one, above clouds sky night one, and icy planet ones goober told me to make. |

The video I've downloaded is great. The intro is a lil too long, though. And it looks better than the game
I love the wicked slomotion parts. The one were you knocked out someone and had a monster kill with the HMG right after it. LOL that was very cool and funny to watch.

lol ya the intro was a bit long. When I eventually do a new trailer I'll probably cut off the terrain scrolling part a few seconds after theres no more text. |
