Just out of curiosity, did you watch the trailer I made? If yes, did you watch the short 3 min version made for the site or did you watch one of the full length 14 min ones I posted on this page?
Anyway sure I could make a new one for the new test version if you want. But would I keep the same intro and end and just update the game play footage, or would I have to make a totally new trailer? |

The biggining and end are awesome man... REDFROG said he could only hear the sound due to codecs, but next time he should get a flash drive or a CD... so he can download it to CD (i also provided it for download) |

Sorry guys for the delay. I told you I was about to upload the test version yesterday but I couldn't. (oh well, that gave me one more time to fix other things..)
I'm uploading the newest test version at the moment. I hope it'll work. Its 66,7MB this time. (I've also added music files to it)
its up.

I guess the team will have to wait until goober uploaded it (to sobe's server).
But I can send the link directly to you. (which I've already done) 
edit. oh yeah,I've forgot to mention in the file that the shortcut (created in the start menu after installation) will not work. The installer created a shortcut leading to the file UT2004Sec.exe. (this is the name of my secondary UT04 installation)
In future versions it'll work.
(just remove that "sec" from the exe and it should work)
Just in case you gonna use it at all..

What do you guys (beta testers and team members ONLY, not general public just yet!) think about having an online test tonight? frank will you be willing to host?
Also, in the world of good news, Garner has appointed me as UT2004 staff member so i can make news posts and upload files releated to marswars before and after its release 
One thing, when we release the mod, we will have to make sure it gets released to all the popular UT2004 sites AT THE SAME TIME!
UnrealPlanet, Here, UnrealPlayground, ect... all have to have the file for MW at the same time! that way there will *should* be no confusion! Ill take care of that 
Ill handel the publicity side of things 
REDFROG, just consentrait on the acual mod, ill take care of most other things (and some of the mod too, Canyon is almost done )

is that the 16mb one i posted a bunch of pages back with all the other ones? if yes, ya its one of the full length ones. but it's gonna be bad quality because its only a 150kb/s bit rate. If I were you I would d/l atleast the 100mb one for pretty good quality. or download the short 20mb 3 min one from the mars wars site. the only real diff between the 3 min one and the 14min one is less gameplay footage. |

Alright then, I think my job is completed here.
Will go back home and watch TV or something I hope you can manage it to play online with some guys sometime.
Things that work good in offline games sometimes doesn't work in online ones. But I hope I found all the things.
A few maps still need some fixing. The framerate in Warlords sometimes is extremely slow with bots (30-40fps.. thats not extremly slow but there is nothing that would need so much. I think UT doesn't like small wide open maps with no portal or anti portal possibilities. Mainly its the shadows of the players that need a lot of performance. They're faster now)
And in VCTF Canyon the AI often needs a lot of CPU time when some1 captures the flag. I dunno why.. they may have trouble finding the right path or something.
Its all not THAT bad, but I more like it when the framerate is fast and smooth. 
Playin with bots can sometimes be SO MUCH fun.
Sometimes they do the craziest things and its fun to capture the flag with them.
I remember there was a bot which was standing/running in front of me, shot a rocket which blown behind me, the explosion pushed me forwards. The bot quickly switched to the shotgun and finished while I was flew at him!! OH MY GOSH!! pure cheaters |

I did notice something that should be changed... Its VERY minor.
Its that, when a bot on my team has the opponent flag and my flag is there, he could cap, but his paths dont let him, he just kept getting in and out of a jeep until i moved the jeep while he was in it...
Just needs more path nodes 
Oh, that was int he Canyon map 
The Canyon map... its an awesome map man, its really fun!
I am really hoping that MWONS can be released with the release of the mod, if not, soon after. just because i think ONS would be fun in RF 
RFINV may take a while to model/animate all the creatures/robots from RF... but i got a feeling that it will be worth it the idea of INV with RF monsters/robots sounds great! 
Youre right froggy, it doesnt feel like UT anymore. It feels like RF! But an upgraded version of it! which is of course what its supposed to feel like |

lol. Too bad you couldn't test with us. That would be cool. I'm still waiting for a download link from goober though. |
