I believe it was aimed at vidi ... and i realise that his not the sole person to have it banned/filtered i was just saying he is the one of the people who misuse it causing the perception of the word to be degraded.
I myself used the word in my post in jest, sort of an ironic jest mind you and i dont normally use it.

Well it seems there is some interest in a L4Y Vs Volition game.
I understand your probably busy Allender, however when you and the rest of the guys have any free time (or if its just you) if you PM either me or Frank (NCF) and we will try to get a game setup. My suggestion is; since Volition made the defaults we should play a mixture of volitions maps, and a few custom maps. would need to be posted about a week ahead of the event so people could download the maps.  |

I will try and set something up in the next week or two. We'd be happy to play a mixture of each. I will play, but I suck. I'll get some others who don't :-) I'll PM one of you and we can see about getting that set up. Won't be until next week when I get to it. |

The reason I go "overboard" with the noob calling is because I don't use it as a general insult. I use it as a joke. This definition is actually based off the Pure Pwnage crew's use of the word noob to make fun of everyone at a LAN battle. Sure, they were elitistical in their use, however I use my only as a joke. If I mean that someone can't play, I call them "uber-noob" or just go about pwning them to prove that they need to spend some time training for a while.
The bannage of the word "pwn" would be fairly weak, really. Sure, I might use the ultimate form of destruction a bit too losely, but I'm not nearly as bad as my friends (I counted once and they said "pwn" about 10 times in half an hour. If they get a question right in class, "PWN!" is all you'll hear. If they see someone get something wrong, "PWND!" is what you'll hear). Sure, its a weak excuse, that they've influenced me to yell "pwn" at all times of the day, but it's my excuse
As far as the gameage with Volition (I like Violition better, as I skip the (spiffy) introduction screens to get some ownage in faster), so long as it doesn't interfere with your job (just tell your boss that you need to test out some stuff with the RF GT or whatnot. Or maybe do it on your lunchbreak). Sure enough, I won't be in, but perhaps someone can record it (use the Windows Media Encoder from MS. I have a link somewhere if someone wants to record this history day for all of L4Y posterity. The WME might take up a lot of clock cycles on a computer, so only a very new computer with some overclocking should be recommended to record at high resolution (even at high, it is still blurry, but at least we'll have a record)).
As for those who insulted me about the filter, it's fine by me. I, too hate those who speak such gamespeak constantly, but its a hard habit to break when you're around it all day. I suppose I should get better friends (roflmao). |

That would be great. I mean to finally get to frag somebody who made this, what I like to call, The Best Online Gaming Experience.
If it wasn't for this game, I would probably spend most of my time in porn sites and reformatting my PC because of something that got installed while visiting these sites. 
In short, a big thank you for helping make the game a reality and keeping my hands where they were meant to be placed, a computer keyboard. 
My current DSL speed is 768 upload and 3000 download but if you are in Los Angeles, then you might get a really low ping, which might allowed you to defend yourself a bit better. Unless you want to host it, then I am all for that as well.  |

Sounds like a good time, I would be interested in playing. Not only would it be fun to see if the company who made it is as good as some people say they are but it would also give me a chance to maybe talk to some of you (I'm currently in college training to become a programmer so it'd be nice to get some info on what the world is like in the gaming industry firsthand).  |
