Its cool how so many of us here are supporting red faction, I myself stopped playing ages ago though.
Be cool to play against the people that actually made the game! might reinstall for that (and the simpsons mod) |

I would love to take on some people that made me lose about 2 years of my life in RF. Not to include the countless, rude, yet somehow brilliant people I've met b/c of RF. If this happens I would definently would like in the room just to watch it take place. Yet Frankles may not allow me in his room b/c of my ping. j/k You've always been accomodating.  |

count me in, it would be an honor, when i started playing i was always asking myself these questions like "why was this done like this?" it would also be good to get some of those answered. |

Juicy, glad you stopped by and I see you are a supporter of the site too. Thanks for that.
Any way, about your ping. What about it. You having a high ping makes playing against you more even. If we were ever to play a LAN game, forget it. I would be lucky to get one frag in. I would probably get so pissed that I would go over to your PC and toss it out the door and that would mean that I won buy default. Since you stopped playing.

Speaking of a LAN. Do you know what would be extremely cool. A Giant RF LAN.(maybe with prizes  ) Not only would we all get to play with the same ping so people cant blame it on lag, but we'd finally get to meet everyone in person which would be cool. The only downside would be if it was hosted in the US or Canada all the people that live across the ocean I highly doubt would fly over to play a game and vice versa. But I guess the next best thing would be a big L4Y vs Volition TDM match or a big L4Y and Volition DM match. |

I just played in two server.
A. The first one had amp and HMG disabled. I don't play that way.
B. The second one, I had your kind of ping(200+), at first I didn't see how you did it then after a while you get use to it...kind of. But I had more fun on that one. I don't care if people use those weapon, in fact when they use them. I hunt for them, it's more challenging. I was having fun and was actually in the lead when BOOM. My Red Faction crashed because my "Web root spy sweeper" was set to download and install the definition automatically, bad thing was I got a pop-up telling it had been done. We all know what happens when that happens. It crashes to the desk top and there is no way to get it back, so I rebooted. By the time I went back to the server, it was empty. I waited about 10 minutes and nothing, so I blew up everything in Maze Way then I left.

I think this game should be passworded if/when it goes ahead. If you are interested Please PM me. Remember there is limited spaces. I will then use my 8-Ball program (randomized answers, designed by me ) to decide on players if we have too many.

I have posted internally about getting a group together. I don't think next week will work, but perhaps the week after that (i.e. the last full week before Christmas). We will have to do it in the evening, not during work hours. I am suggesting a starting time around 8pm CST. If that doesn't work, please suggest something else, although we may have to compromise.
If you guys have a set of maps outside of the defaults you want to play in, someone PM me and get me a list of the levels and where to download them so I can pull them into Volition. More later.... |

hmm lets see, lets all L4Y memebers post levels they want to have played, id say All Around The World(MF), Floyd(lotsa), and say.... Exodius (Kerpal)? |

For the custom maps we should get a list of everyone whos going to be playing. Then pick the best map of each mapper thats playing. |
