V-Allender thanks for taking the time to register here at levels4you.com and posting the information. I for one am very happy that the tracker is back online and for all the information that you provided us with. 
I still have to use the IP address, but no worries, I know how it can take some time for the DNS service in my area to update.
A while back we/I had the same issue on this site. When we changed server, the IP of course changed and I couldn't see the site for a day or too. 
Here's to hoping that the DNS service from my Internet Provider updates their list soon.

OMG ... the main tracker is back and working as before ... i just had 47 servers on mine ... one server was a hive server and that is how i found out that there's something fishy going on !!! ... ty whoever did it  |

it works now but there are only 23 servers what the hell.
have fun is not on the list but when u put its ip in it comes up.

Hey everyone, my first post here
Hapu Hanu, great job on contacting Volition. 
Well what I really registered here to say is that all servers have to be restarted before showing up on the server list, that is the reason to why for example Have Fun isnt on the list.
So inform everyone you guys know hosting a server and tell them to restart them and it should all work fine... |

well it works all good here using the default rf.thqmultiplay.net
funny thing is that swift games disapears as soon as the tracker goes down and comes instantly back when the tracker is up. it must have some sort of auto shut down or some thing  it did that when this happened last time  oh well its all back to normal here well apart from the lower number of servers |

I dunno i just got 39 servers.
ps.Some nooby fuc*** clan creep kicked me from a server beacuse of my ping  I hate those type of people.They act like they made RF and they only should play it
Back on topic.
Yay Master tracker is up again sadly none plays on that hive12 dedicated server anymore |

We seem at this time to be unable to create a game using the tracker however are able to join games that do show so it is a good start to full return. We are prepared the accept the explanation that it takes time for RF tracker to fully propogate.

If you can't create a game, it's not a problem of the tracker. the tracker code hasn't changed. Only thing that has changed is the location and IP address of the machine. If you can't create a game, the fault lies outside of the GT machine. It could be DNS (in which case it might resolve itself -- you can check if it's propogated properly by adding rf.thqmultiplay.net to your setup/network tab), it could be a firewall issue, it could be some network topology issue (are you behind a NAT or something)?
The tracker doesn't propogate -- the IP address of the name 'rf.thqmultiplay.net' is what needs to propogate. If you can see games, you should in theory be able to create them. If you can't, then there is almost certainly a problem on your side (either firewall or NAT issue). Note that many others who _can_ create games, which also means that the tracker is properly working. The code doesn't discriminate :-) If a game is created, and it properly reaches the tracker, it will be tracked.
You can be prepared to accept or not accept anything that I say. But the fact remains that nothing has changed on our side except the machine has moved. That _WILL NOT_ cause the tracker to behave differently than it did before. Plain and simple. There is nothing that I can do to make the tracker accept your game, especially if it's accepting others. I believe that the problem lies out of my control. |

Thanks Mark,I accept what you say and will have to delve into my own setup. I am able to setup a game using the Ded Server launcher but then I can not see that game or any other for that matter so am fairly sure you are right.
We are glad to see things back as we are old farts (60 plus) and we do enjoy our games every night.
