Cross-Platform Multiplayer would be bad... as it normally is. PC players will always be at an advantage if there is no autoaim on console, but if there is, PC players will be at a disadvantage. Cross-Platform multiplayer would be complete crap...
Customization I look forward to. I can't see them making that same mistake again.

So you are saying RF is a very bad game but geomod saves it from being that bad.
Like I say before, I also like the mood & sound of a bunch weapons, I loved the 6 axis 'Fighter' gameplay and some Mars atmosphere too. But, yes personally, Geo Technology save it's butt

I don't know how true too much of it might be, but it was published just recently (February 20, 2008)
Third person? Meh. I don't know how that will pay off. I'd prefer first person. Perhaps THQ will throw it in as a separate option. Third/first person swaps.

Yes like in UT2004 where when I am driving a vehicle. All i have to do is scroll my mouse wheel to adjust my view. That would be nice to have, if they wanted to go in the direction of the "3rd party view". I would still rather have a First Person Shooter. If they make it a 3rd person view, the game won't be where Red Faction 1 is at. In the First Person Shooters it would have to be moved to the Third Person Shooters section.
Imagine playing Hermis or InstallationXY15 in third person.
Not possible without heavy camera adjustments (your body would have to become half transparent) or first person.
Those 2 maps played in 3rd person would absolutely be horrible.
The news say that RF3 will be an open world game with huge outside areas...
I want the same close combat as I had in RF1, not only outdoor fights.
It's obvious that the RF players prefer to play in small maps instead of terrain based ones.
However there are some exceptions like the mirco maps xD

I don't like the idea of having both "huge game environments" and a "12 player online" multiplayer. It sounds like its going to take forever to get anywhere only to find that the other 11 people aren't there anymore.
Yeah that does sound weird. Hopefully not too huge if theres 12 people.
Meh...

Quoting grandpretre
a RPG???? No...it can't be possible...they are destroying the whole idea and gameplay of Red Faction...
It's not an RPG.... would you consider Max Payne or GTA RPGs? It's just a third person shooter.... the only difference is the camera view.
As to Frog's comment, I don't think the view would change things as much as you're saying. It would still be just as easy to see what's going on if the camera just goes through the walls.
