Multiple mines? We get that already. That's the problem LOL.

I hope we're not all in for another big let down.

But THQ is the exception arent they? They can be stupid, greedy, jackoffs whenever they want. They have so many poor developers and studios under their belt it doesnt matter. THQ will do whatever they want with RF3 just like they have in the past, none of us here can change that.

D2k, they already do that.
I highly doubt you will find the same Red Faction charm in RF3. There are too many facts against it.
It will be a different game.

You cannot say it will be great because its called RF.

oh and we won't see this title in our hands anytime soon. imo revealed too soon. (plus, the graphics is already beyond the standards.. but do not think it will be hardwarefriendly. )

You do know that those are likely the highest quality graphics available for the game. They need to make the game able to run at a playable frame rate using onboard graphics or they'll lose a huge audience right from the start. Chances are that most current systems will be able to handle it just fine.

For the game? What does that mean?
You don't even know the engine of it.
Highest quality available depends on what they are looking for, and how skilled they are. (Crytek GmbH is most skilled team )

Just because your PC sucks doesn't mean that developers have to match with you.
And what is that talking about onboard graphics?
First: almost no serious player has that. I dont know anyone at all.
Second: Onboard can be a wide range, from 1mhz to ...I don't know 1600mhz? core clock speeds. From 1MB...to 1024MB shared (lol) RAM.

RF3 seems to going to have huge worlds, with massive viewdistances and probably a powerful physics engine.

Developers have to match with the average of consumer PCs, or they won't make the money they want.

You don't even know the engine of it.

They are using a highly modified version of the Havok-engine, according to Dan Cermak. Another difference from the original RF is that you can only destroy buildings. The world is about 500 square km, and it will take you about an hour to walk across it.

The graphics look pretty cool, the game is gonna be aimed at the 360 and PS3, I don't think they care if people have crap PCs that can't run the game.

Here's another early review.

This seems to confirm that there will be a multi-player.

Quoting www.1up.com review
Taking back the planet myself sounds all well and good, but the excellent multiplayer experience is what kept me playing Red Faction II for years, so I had to ask about it; Volition are currently scarce on the details, but Guerilla will most definitely feature it, ideally taking full advantage of the destructibility and resulting dynamic level design (or maybe more bots whose A.I. routines I can exploit like in RF2?).

True but atleast it can be horrible online. With RF 2, we didn't have a choice.

Throw out your expectations for a traditional Red Faction experience, and you'll be much better off -- Guerilla takes place 50 years after the second game, right back on Mars where the story left off, with oppressed miners rebelling against the Earth Defense Force (no, not that EDF). Characters from the earlier titles will have a presence by having various cities named after them, though the immediate plot is a brand-new plight. Putting you in the shoes on one of those miners, the entire experience seems to take place in one big open-world environment, populated by EDF outposts, friendly territories, and several scattered cities and towns. I checked out Dust District (an area you'll come through early-on in the game), and helped my fellow miners fight off the baddies while causing some ridiculous environmental damage.

Trump in that quote, he isn't talking about online multi-player.
