From what I played of RF2 (whcih was not much at all) I liked it. I really think RF2 things should be included with a release, not necessarily the next one, however. Also, I don't think its right to mix RF1 and RF2, it just doesn't balance well; IMO there should be a mutator that changes the items and weapons... Oh wait, there already is and it comes standard with UT2004. It should be modified to not allow RF2 weapons and vehicles (once they're all in-game and working) by default, instead letting the server completely decide which item to add, remove and replace. Who's with me on this?

ok, whatever ... in the end it is RedFrogs decision unless one of you are planning on modeling the character and skinning it ...

i think that i will work on the "changing songs to .ogg" and creating a default playlist file (if i can figure it out without UT2k4)

however, i will need someone to jump on Xfire and sending me a copy of the Audio.vpp

i will get a .zip version of MW to figure out what i need to put in and what i need to convert ...

any one want to help me out by sending me a copy of the Audio.vpp or all the songs for RF?

ok i got it thanks to goober ... i converted all the songs that were completely assembled (some songs are in sections, they have a "_#" on the end ...)

together the songs are 50mb! ... so goober suggested that we add it as a music pack rather than part of (the next release)

the good thing is they are half of what they were in size in .wav, sound identical (to the human ear) and are compatable with MACs ... .

i think ill .rar them and mail them to RedFrog or just upload them th MarsWars site ... ill wait and see what you guys think ...

why are you going to put a streaming feed of pretty much elevator music on the site ...

either we add them as a bonus pack, part of 1.1, or we add them alond with the maps we use them with

or we could do a combination of the first and last one ... give them the songs as a bonus pack and add them with new maps to make sure they have it if they didn't DL the bonus pack ...

its 50 mb for those songs ... maybe i should drop the quality? ...

you can make them in max or in Maya... and i hope you dont take this the wrong way, but the models have to be almost perfect to be animated... they cant just be alot of primatives stuck together...

the RF website has pictures of weapons too...

Also, im working on a vehicle... its an air dropship, that.. ideally, can carry about 6 people with probably one more up top in one of those hellbender rear turret thingys...

yea, we really dont need all of them (theres like 20)... well have to pick the best ones later

Needs more detail. Looks more like a hovercraft or big bumper boat then a drop ship.

Very blocky... With UT2004 being able to render 3000+ faces per entity and you've used a whopping fifty? I say take out the inards of the CENSORED pit and passenger area and add some real detail to the outsides. Don't even keep face count in mind until you're finished, then you can optimize.
