I noticed that when we were first testing it ... i think it is odd, but i guess its easier to see when you drop it ...

Now that i think of it, i wish RedFrog kept the toss weapon function ... its not very useful, but its fun to juggle

I've done it! I've done it!
I've found the way to change the voicepack!

Quoting MarsWars.ini file
ServerPackages=RF_Guard
ServerPackages=RF_Guard_2
ServerPackages=RF_Mercenary
ServerPackages=RF_Miner
ServerPackages=RF_Hendrix

These are the names of the MarsWars voicepacks.
Now, if you open up MarsWarsUser.ini...

Quoting MarsWarsUser.ini
[DefaultPlayer]
Name=Duke
Class=RFSystem.RFPawn
Character=MercenaryGrunt
team=0
Sex=M
Voice=**********

and replace whatever follows the Voice= command with one of the names of the voicepacks as stated in MarsWars.ini, you'll change the voicepack!

... umm yeah ... we kinda knew that ... probably because we were the ones who figured out the voicepack thing ...

The voicepacks are a little mixed up between characters anyway, i knida wish we would change that, (but no one else thinks that they are broken )

we made the voicepacks unchangeable for a reason though, mainly to keep people playing the mod from using UT voicepacks ...

Im not sure that goober or redfrog would be so excited that you're messing around with the voicepacks ...

Oh, well OK then.

And it's not like I'm completely destroying the mod itself. All I did was give my character the right voice (RF_Mercenary).

Sorry if I blew something up or wrecked it all.

dont get me wrong Duke, i don't really care what you do to your version of MW as long as it isn't cheating online (if thats possible <--- thats not a challenge so don't even try it). im just not sure that other people on the team would be as excited about it ...

honestly i think its good if people start modding/mapping for our mod ... just so long as it doesn't they don't compeletley disembowel all the stuff we did ... for example:

if i uploaded a new character for MW and it happened to be "malcom" from UT2k4. ... Please don't do that ... we took huge measures to seaparate the MW mod from origional UT2k4 stuff ...

Its just not what we intended MW to be like ...

So, i have no problems Duke with you exchanging MW voicepacks (however i can't say that for the rest of the team to be absolutely sure ...)

What if I want Mona Sax?! And I create a nude rendition, would that be allowed But no, I see your point. As it'd be better to seperate this mod kind of like, it's own game, per say.

Haha, I'm not going to do anything like that Assaultman67. I own a copy of RF, so I know the style. I would never mod anything into MarsWars that just didn't belong. That being said, I probably wouldn't mod at all. Ever.

Ive been booted from a server before for using a unknown VP ...

but sobe is probably right in the fact that if you use a MW voice pack you should be ok ...

Hey i think you guys should check this vid.
It will be cool if you guys made this as in one of the new gametypes.You know medic with custom player models,engineer,nano scientist[For upgrading other peeps giving better enhancements like more faster running more power in punches],light soldier,medium solider,heavy soldier,elite soldier ya know the classes and stuff.Mission oriented maps.Vehicles,heavily relies on team based gameplay.New weapons for the heavy classes and ligh classes like the Heavy Fusion that shoots 2 fusion projectiles in primary shot and 4 in secondary shot.

That might be pushing it a bit Pred. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea, but I think RED-FROG (aka MarsWars God) might have a problem with it.

That would make a nice addition, but with only one coder that could take forever. I'd rather RED-FROG had the time to work on the issues that currently need fixing than having a new game type.
