I got good news, Frank has agreeed to run an offical MW server when the mod iis released

Frank, i have set up a forum on MW for your server, and ill set you as a mod for it ASAP.

Hey REDFROG, ive been sitting on this announcer package for the mod ... it doesn't contain any special awards (but then again neither did the regular RF ...) all it has is the basic RF content (ex. CTF sounds, winner sound, game over sound, countdown sound, etc.) ... it sounds like the origional RF announcer

im going to send it to you ... and you can tell me if it sucks for this mod or not .

i will also send the .ucl file to give you an idea of how to include it in the mod ... if you want to.

I sent it to the same place i sent the voice packs ...

[yellow]edit: ok, its isn't exactly perfect ... i guess you can still tell me what you think of it so far ...

Hey guys, slightly bad news, ill be out for the week... well not really, but ill be out for alot longer this comming week than usuall.
Exams start in 2 weeks, so i have to spend this week studying...
In exam week i generally dont study, so ill be on (most likley) normally in that week, then the monday or tuesday after exam week (exam week starts on the 12th of june) im going on holidays, ill be gone for roughly 2 weeks...
Id like it if you could postpone the release of the mod untill i get back home from holidays and check over things, you know how i am (REDFROG is probably the same) i like to have things just the way i want them before release to avoid unnessicarry future bug fixes.

I wish it was possible to make the game use less bandwidth. Many people are complaining about it.

Wohoo a new announcer, you say? Thats really one of the big missing things in the mod.
We could get rid of the special announcements such as "Head Shot" and "Double Kill".
Or maybe a cool sound plays when you placed a headshot.

Its better to have less things that remember the people they're playing UT.

now whos idea was it to let sobe make the portraits ...


Keep in mind the announcer i sent you isn't done ... the RF flag capture sound didn't play for me ... nor did the winner.wav or game over ... i might have forgotten them or put them in the wrong spot ... ill doublecheck it ...

But a playermodel requires a lot of concentration . I prefer to play tetris
My plans of having all characters made at the release are gone. But I'll do one or two more guys (I cant promise ) but maps also have to be finished one day.
A new character also means a new voicepack But I think we could use the same voicepacks for other guys too if there are no good sounds.

Perhaps I'll merge the announcer sounds into the game anwayway. I dont know if that works but should.

I think i figured out that announcer problem I talked about ... the winner/loser sound for teams are hard though because instead of saying "your team wins" they say "Blue/red team wins" which is too specific for the winner loser sound ...

so it doesn't play different sounds depending on what side your on in UT ... ... i think i can come up with a solution ...

as for ONS, BR, and domination gametypes i think i might use the flag capture sounds ...

but it depends ... if were not going to do those gametypes ... why bother? so in the final are we including those gametypes or not? or should i just go ahead and make them just in case?

I have a cool idea for a trailer video, (well at least it seams like it would be cool in my head ) that involves Bryce, Fraps and some heavy video editing. I'll work on it once the new update is released so it has fresh content in it, and if it turns out good I'll upload it and if it doesn't then forget I even said this.

i still haven't gotten my new computer, but i was able to fix my old one so i might start working on textures again tomorrow, i cant today as its my birthday today

well ummm, no we didnt get geo mod to work because its impossible to intagrate it into UT2k4... but we did get a clevar way to simulate geomod, which if i do say so, looks well, if you didnt know how it works youd swear it was geomod...
RED-FROG, the geo could use some more smoke though...

IAC, i dont need any new skies ATM....

Assultman, Id like to have the following gametypes:
Deathmatch
Team Deathmatch
Capture The Flag
Vehicle Capture The Flag
Onslaught (wont be too hard, just requires 2 more models...)
Invasion (would modeling RF creatures be hard? i think it would be cool)
Gametypes like Last Man Standing wouldnt require anything extra, so why not keep those...
So
Last Man Standing
and Mutant
they should all be not too hard.
I understand if you dont want to model the creatures just yet, theres always time later with these addon packs were going to be doing

Overall, im very pleased with how the mod plays, and its filesize...
Maps i feel were slacking on, we have to consertraite on maps for quite a while now... I have a feeling that most of my maps will be in the addons due to me going on holidays...
REDFROG, make sure to put a link to Marswars.net.tc insted of Epic games...
By then, sobe said he would get a new provider so we can host addon files, but then again, they will probably also be on this site.

i fixed most of the problems with the announcer ... problem is sometimes the announcer says a blue or red team instead of saying yours or their team ... making the flag stolen sounds complex ... there is a different sound when your flag is stolen then the one when their flag is stolen.

they do this in all parts of the game too which makes this harder.

REDFROG i have an updated, better version of the announcer than the one you have now ...
