I dont know where you got that info from but I know for a fact I have done some un beleivable rail shots..

Measure from 1 flag to the other in Checkmate.. It should be 100m? because I was just firing from my flag with the rail, shooting through the wall next to the flag and I killed somebody with the flag who was just 2 steps away from capping.

Thats the most unbelievable RF story but its true I swear.. although Checkmate may not be 100m so you would best test it on something bigger.. But I wouldnt be posting for no reason, so my question remains, Where did you find out about the rail limits?

My host is undergoing some repairs to cPanel and PHP/MySQL. The site for this mod should be back up soon with a URL to it.

1) Character models are not final. Suchs things have the lowest priority and will be done when the mod is going to release. Portrais should be done ALL at the same time so they look all the same.
2) It takes time to model such a mesh, goober wanted to see the VTCTF map and the jeep in action, I did never say that the vehicles are finished. And it's also low priority. First I want to have the DM/TDM/CTF part completely working. If you would look closer on the jeep you would also see that the MG on the back is not placed at the right place (happened because of a resize). This is a real bug.
3) Do you think I doesn't know whats going on with the HUD?
4) Yes its the original texture only. (changed a lil)
Tweaking on textures can be done ANY time. I never said that I do textures.
5) Death messages are REALLY unimportant now That death message is one of MANY messages that are wrong. Dude...

I have made over 250 scripts, a lot of models, guns, FX and have been working on maps. It sounds like you are saying I've been lazy with things. I can't remember one single day when I did not work on the mod since the mod started.
I just can't do everything at the same time and must set priorities to the things.
I knew questions like that would come up. Your post didn't really look like a bug list or suggestions list. Perhaps you have a different view of the smilies, but , and doesn't really look like you only wanted to inform me about something.
enough of that stuff now. It drives me crazy to see so much useless negative feedback, and nothing positive at all. It makes other people think the mod is bad...I very appreciate your help but teamembers shouldn't do that

You can do whatever though with PHP-Nuke.

I guess it could make other people think the mod is bad though I sure by the time its done it will rock, Its looking really good even right now.

Hm as a tester that is what he was suppose to do, but I guess it should have been done through private messaging or email.

Some excellent work so far! Keep it up!

REDFROG, i am working on maps, and if you like, i can model some custom vehicles, RF style... but not in RF already... you know... i dont think that 7 (or so) vehicles is enough...

Like we will need a hover craft to replace the manta...
We will also need a raptor style vehicle (only underwater) for the sub...
I was thinking about using your lawbreaker for the tank... what do you think? or we could disign a new Mars style tank...

like ive said before, theres an endless supply of maps over in the RF section waiting to be converted... most will be released as adons after the mod is released though... id like to get all the defaults and maby 5 or so customs done to release with the mod... at least one of each gametype the mod will be using... id say ONS, VCTF, Assult, DM, TeamDM and CTF... sound good?

mad_ferrit, if your reading this, would you be so kind as to remake AATW and AATW2? (the second one can be made after the mod is released and released as an addon... just i think that AATW would be a good sniper map, and maby convert it to a ONS...
I can already picture AATW2 being an ONS.... one node at the top of the bank, top of pyramid, maby one base could be the bridge across those 2 buildings.. and the other one could be somewhere else, then a node on the bridge.. or under it... its endless possibilities...

Man i would LOVE a Mircofaction ONS...

Maby im getting ahead of myself, but im just listing possibilities...

Also, the rail gun has a flag that says "pierces_all", but all that flag does is make the rail not ricochet on any material, and makes the projectile seem to fly forever, thats why the rail seems like it never stops. Also in checkmate the air in the main room, where the RL is, doesn't count as matter only solid brushes, walls, and characters count as matter, so your story is possible. Thats why you can snipe with the rail, as long as it doesn't hit any solid materials that will count towards the 100m limit, walls ect., then it will fly forever. I think Volition made it where when the projectile is outside the level, it counts for the 100m limit. That way they don't fly forever and max out the projectile limit.

If the rail had a zoom on it, it would be unstoppable when it comes to sniping: can pierce walls, heat censor scope, and zoom... nice

I wish the code in UT would have been as easy as that LOL!
Okay the REAL code is hidden in the exe file or somewhere...(the hardcoded part of RF)

I can also set a piercing power for the railgun in the mod.
-
what I've got to do on the railgun:
-Texture for the fork is missing
-Must remove the animated glowing planes, they have the wrong color and emitters do the job now.
-Holster animation tweaking
-Reload sound missing
-Zoom should not be adjustable
-Zoom scope texture must be changed
-the heat texture may be changed...wish it was possible to make them look a realistic way. (head is warm and arms are cold)
-add a smoke emitter when reloading?
..to be continued..cant think of other things now
I've written a TODO list on my computer that list all the known problems and things that I have to finish.
I really didnt want to give you a wrong view of the mod with this beta version. I know there has to be done a lot of fixing everywhere. But remember, I'm only 1 person, the only one that has been working on the scripts yet. Scripting is really tough. Most of the work isnt even visible to the usual players. Uncompile the u file and you'd see what I mean. But a lot of it has been done, and I've collected some experience with it.
I dont want to be "angry" anymore now. It doesnt help us at all. So sorry Assaultman67 that I read your post the wrong way.
and be careful with the smilies. lol

I think a smoke emmiter while reloading is a good idea
Ive been disigning graphics while im waiting for sobe to help with the website stuff... photoshop can do SOOOO much...

Has Hanger 18 been done yet? if it hasnt, i call it
That level is acually very easy to make... will give me practice... will also easyly convert to VCTF when im ready

With the help of JdS, i have gotten access to 3 or so "Hidden" levels that are not ont he PC version of the game, or were started but never finished, i plan to remake these...
