well we might be 80% on a beta but not on a full release that would just be wrong :S
Edit: and it would be nice too se a working version and not one whit lots of bugs..... |

I'm working on...Coffe Break(mostly done), Office Space(mostly done), Installation(mostly done), Hermis(mostly done), High Rise(ugh thats a real heavy layout..stopped for now), Any Way(mostly done). Maybe I'll also work on Lobby and Killbox. So everything is mostly done, but not completely

The only bug I can think of is when you fire the rail, you can reload it RIGHT after you shot. The script will tell the weapon to automatic reload but its faster to do it manually which is bad I think I can fix it.. (will take a look at other mods and check how to make delays or something)
I think the progress on the mod is very good I think. I've got a lot of (rough) things done but I'm getting new ideas like very day.
Yesterday I worked on the Riot Shield and Riot Stick, almost done and its working better than I thought it would.
The riot stick and riot shield are carried at the same time, allowing to use the shield and beat down others without taking bullets from the enemy.
I never understood why Volition didn't fused both weapons into one..maybe it was too complicated for the game. I call the weapon "Riot Equipment".
It gives a new tactical feeling to RF
Today I've been working on the "Material Regenerator" (I couldnt think of another name..I hope its not bad, I can change it) which can repair vehicles and power nodes (I would like to change the whole design of onslaught, new power nodes, new core but I dont have the TIME )
So that means, 2 guns in 2 days, and you say the progress is being too slow? Ok the riot stick model was taken from the example setups, the shield model was easy to do, and the material regenerator is an old model of the eko mod which might have to be changed...I've got a better idea for it. But hell, I've done a lot of scripting for those weapons, and I mean really a lot (it would have been faster if I wouldnt have to it the "try and error" way)
Heres a picture of the Riot Equipment:

I have re-positioned some icons and digits so I can later put the right textures under them.
Having the Weapon icons at the side of the screen might look confusing at first but I've got used with it. I have no idea about the possibilities on the HUD, it would be cool to have a weapon bar that only appears when a weapon changes (as in Red Faction).
I have seen such a drop down menu in a mutator, it even uses MESHES for the HUD which is cool..but the script looks crazy (and its buggy anyways.)
the shield can be destroyed by enemies , after that only the riot stick remains. However, because of the fire mode limitation, you have to press fire to "activate" the shield. I should change that but there are too many negative aspects on a instant active shield that can be destroyed. (I dont even know how I would do such a shield) If the shield wasnt vulnerable it would become a too strong weapon. (Counter Strike ) It is no longer possible to use the taser. I hope I can find a way to add a 3rd fire mode for this weapon.

... we should take pics of the weapons and put them on the hud too like that one other mod whose name i can't think of now .
i guess if we use the same graphics from the old RF hud it should turn out fine anyways and we wouldn't have to do it.
(i was looking at those textures the other day BTW) |

I think I'll do new pictures of the weapons because the ones of RF are only black n white. UT2003 also has those black and white icons, now in UT2004 it looks much better when they're colored.

The guard is meant to replace the other i gave you, im pretty sure you have that.
the corporate guard is the one that hangs out in the offices, wears grey and has black shades ... i don't think you have him yet though.
and the merc can be used for any merc model, i don't know if you got those done either. 
Edit: I have to wait to send them though ... i got a critical error when i built the packages ... ill send them later once i get things fixed ... |

Can there be a way to make the 3rd fire mode the middle mouse button/scrollwheel button? No shock is like the rail gun without it piercing, I hope you figure it out. Also, does the shield always like that or does it move when you swing the baton?
I don't know if you knew this Red-Frog, but the rail gun only pierces through 100 meters of matter, although it seems more like it would go on for kilometers the projectile will not damage anything after piercing 100 meters. |

it might as well be infinite ... who would make a wall in a map 100m thick, let alone the heat scope being useless at that distance. |

No you don't understand, The rail gun will only pierce 100m of wall, it doesn't have to be 100m thick. If 4 walls were lined up 200m apart all walls 25m thick, then the rail would go through all walls and stop at the last wall because is has pierced 100m of matter or wall. |

RedFrog, that looks awesome. I really think this si going to be a top notch mod, just like your previos efforts on RedFaction! I didnt get a chance to do En Masse, wasn't home yesterday. I can do a LITTLE bit now, but im going out in a little while again. Im soooo popular LOL! |

Slight update, I did a bit of work on En Masse. 30mins - 1hours work, have the main area of the base outline half done, got the central room, adding in the sloped edges, and then the ramps. After that its onto the sewer area and the surrounding corridors 
I found the most usefull thing ever, right clicking lines stuff back to the grid if its slightly off. Know almost nothing about UED :S |

I might add, dont make the map like it was in Red Faction, make it like you think it would be if Red Faction was originally made with the unreal engine |

Theres an option for that .
For some reason i just didn't find age of empires 3 as good as age of empires 2 ... 10 min into a game and i was already using cheat codes to make it interesting. I guess im just too destructive now than what i used to be. |

I think im still going to be mapping for this mod, but i wont be able to help lead it anymore... sorry Red Frog, ill help you with the final touches and releasing though 
ive been practicing UT2k4 mapping latley, even got my map put onto a server yesterday so ill get started, what maps havent been done yet? I do want to do Score, Checkmate, SRO and Waste Treatment Plant, i really want to do waste treatment plant, i think ill do that one. I think im going to leave the jumppads out though + the fact that i dont know how to do jumppads yet... and ill add some turrets in too. Mabye add some more rooms too |
