I don't really like changing things much from their original forms, so I was thinking more along the lines of a fast-paced fragfest. =P
After this is finished (which shouldn't take long), Kirbyiscool and I are going to do the last of the MK64 battle mode levels; Skyscraper. We'll most likely make it a rail map. |

Looks pretty good so far.
Decided to go ahead and start working on Skyscraper. Probably end up finishing it first too. Only real problem at this point is the skybox textures.

Quoting adam_morland1 | did you possibly get this idea from my skyscrape map? |
And what map would that be? (sorry, I don't really pay much attention to anything that goes on here )
The idea is quite simple, actually. It's a recreation of something that already exists. |

That's happened to me after exceeding the limits of RED. It can only support so many faces before it stops working altogether. |

Yes its a detail brush, well I figured it out though, but its kind of complicated. What I did was I edited a brush in face mode by making it a height of 0.01, or about as thin as a face brush. Then I extended it back to its normal height, which was 0.25, then that was the result. Then all I had to do to fix it was delete the brush and start over....sorry I'm not that good at explaining things. Heres a few screenshots of what my map looks like now:

I still need to do more work with the lighting and textures, which as you can see in those screenshots I kind of threw it together. Then once I'm done with that one room there's still going be a few other big detailed rooms that I'm going to add, so the map is going to be pretty big. I was really trying to go for kind of an underground, industrial like storage facility, but also make it suitable for fast paced deathmatch. What I'm also hoping for was getting this released by new years eve lol, but I don't know if thats going to happen. |

Oh i see ...
if you take a face and move its verticies to the point where the face is infintesmal or gone and then try to move the verticies apart after rebuilding, you will find that it deletes the face completely ... it removes the face to prevent texture problems on that face ... which isn't bad if you cant see it, but bad if you plan on using that face again .
i put a hole in a rubber ducky in RED by doing this ...
i think it happens to all brushes BTW ... |
