Later tonight if I get around to it I'll add items and respawn points and see who's around to test. Although my comp has been acting really strange the last couple of days.. just sitting at my desktop my cpu usage has been bouncing up and down. on second it'll be 1 or 2% then the next it'll be like 50-70% causing lag spikes and unresponsiveness.. I think a virus may have slipped into my system but after a bunch of virus scans and spyware scans nothings been found... So IDK if I'll even be able to work on map or play it with these constant lag spikes..
I couldn't do the test tonight because my comp is driving me nuts so yesterday and today I've been backing up stuff and tomorrow I'm gonna format and re install windows so hopefully by sat my comp will be back to normal and the map will be ready to test.
Yay it's like I have a new comp again. Everythings so fast and responsive. Anyway I just got to finish iteming the map and then it should be ready for a test. (IMO iteming is the most boring part of the mapping process, and takes so long, especially on a huge un even map. ) Anyway I'll check back later tonight to see whos around and wants to test. Or if you want to test you can add me to msn @ pcg_sof@hotmail.com or add me to xfire @ dvliac.
After a fair size chuck of positivity over Sky Kingdom, I thought I'd take a swing at a sequel.
Once again its a fractured floating building kind of deal.
Oddly enough I'm calling it Sky Kingdom 2.
I'm trying for an Aztec/Mayan flavor... maybe.

Looks good and I do have fun playing Sky Kingdom on redfaction.info. Just it sucks dying when you fall off but what else would you expect to happen when you fall out of the sky without a parachute.
Here is an idea ( ) I just thought of.
How about instead of dying when you fall off, how about you add push regions that drop you back into the map. You know kinda like you have it set up to get the 200 Health in your level. You know it guides you to where you need to go.
It's just an .
Anubis you say. Hmmm... I'll have to look into that. Might get some ideas.

I find it funny that you find inspiration in a cultures design of buildings but as you start to make them you start to add other things that you like but don't really belong ...
I do that all the time ...

Well I'm not aiming for a specific culture, although so far I have taken from both Mayan and Aztec architecture from different periods in history. How it will end up, I have no idea.
