It appears that a few people are planning on doing multiple maps. I have no problems with duplicate maps, as it has been done before, however, with the amount of mappers we have so far, we might have to pick the better one and include it. This isn't set in stone, as I'm sure some people will probably end up dropping out for one reason or another. We just can't release a map pack with 30 maps in it. Well I suppose we could, but people would complain that its too much to download.
So, short answer, yes multiple maps are allowed, but be forewarned that if need be, you may have to decide on a single one to include near release time.
As said before, Rules and Regs will be released probably tomorrow. Work has been slow, so I'll have time to write it all up and post it.
Also, since it seems at least 2 of us have maps almost ready, testing will begin to some degree shortly. Ferrit and Blaze, let me know when your maps are ready. They will be joining my map thats almost complete. If my server cooperates, I'll have a Dedicated Server up for them. If not, perhaps we can pester Dankone, as he's got some bandwidth to spare....

Sweet, the theme I suggested for the first RFU is finally getting done! I will most definetly be mapping for this one! Probably do multiple maps!
I think I just got inspiration from "Scar Tissue"... think a barren landscape, "stitched" together... (thats the best way I can put the image in my head)... its going to be difficult, but cool I think! |

Ok sorry i didnt get online. Work at weekends and all that stuff. right could everyone mapping please send me an IMS so I can Officially add you to the CDC? If you can include your map idea as well, it would be handy.

I have no idea what im going to do. I love my music and ever track I listen to I want to make. I was going to make a Linkin Park map, it would be a normal Park but all metal and not grass/trees. Other Idea is Insomnia by Faith It would be a spaceish map for that.  So hard to choose. I really liked my Linkin Park idea, but its going to be a B**CH of a map to make i think. whats the time limit Wizzy?  |

The thumb code seems to be a bit picky. Not sure why, but since we will be switching to the new site soon, I doubt Garner will bother fixing it.
Beat, I was looking at an initial deadline of May 29th. That gives everyone just over 6 weeks to finish. A week or so of testing and a final release Mid June.
Rules, Regs, etc will be posted in a bit once I have time to write them up. |

I was thinking about doing a 1950's school dance theme... sorta like the "Under the Sea Dance" from back to the future. Not really my favortie music, but it would be an original idea. Put some temptations on that bad boy. |

its the album cover for PINK FLOYDs ANIMALS.
so its not an \"EXACT\" replica, but i figured it would be an easily recognised one.(sometimes i forget how young some of you really are )

actually stating your theme will keep anyone else from being able to use it.

Dude I made the whole of my RFU2-Temple of Doom map on my lappy with no Number Pad. What a ball-ache it is swapping between Func+F11 to activate it all the damn time. I really feel for ya man. Soon after that I invested in one of these...
 for about a tenner Absolutely invaluable... Then I just decided one day to invest in a prper gaming PC... even more invaluable  |
