hmm why do you need a keypad? i have been mapping in red since 2003 and have never used a keypad...
BTW laptops do have a keypad but its a pain to use.. you should have a key that says 'Fn' then on some of your keys should have little grey numbers.. those are the keypad. when holding down 'Fn' |

Rules:
All maps to be DM maps and to be named DM-RFU4-************* - Any maps not in this format will be re-named.
Map File size - 10 MB .zipped / .rar'ed not including separate music VPP file
Music in separate VPP unless it can be accommodated within overall map file size limit***
If Music contains explicit lyrics, music MUST be in a seperate VPP and be labeled accordingly. (i.e. MapMusicEXPLICIT.vpp)
Multiple maps are allowed, but depending on the number of finished maps at submission time, you may need to choose one to add to the pack. Everyone who maps will get at least 1 map into the pack.
If a map has serious problems and they aren't resolved by the final submission date, it will not be included. Problems include not enough spawn points, server crashers, lock ups, etc. If it doesn't work correctly, it doesn't get included.
First Submission Deadline – Sunday, May 29th, 2005. This gives you 6 weeks to finish your map.
Then there will be 10 days testing and tinkering time where the maps can be critiqued and polished.
Final Release date to be announced, but is likely to be around 10th / 11th of June
Readme's to include all usual references and also a description of your level and its association with your chosen idea. Since the maps will most likely be released in smaller packs this time, README'S ARE REQUIRED. Make sure they are named DM_Mapname_ReadMe.txt
Mapper Information
Would all mappers IM me providing the following details:
-Their confirmation of intention to map for RFU4
-Their chosen topic - this is to help sort out any conflicts as early as possible.
Testers: Mappers and Non-Mappers
Anybody wishing to contribute by means of testing purposes can also e-mail with their details
***Anyone who has difficulty in adding separate music VPP's can bring it to our attention and assistance will be given. This is true of most queries. We're here to help each other

just wanted to let ya all know that i WILL be running a dedicated RFU server once this is all said and done. i would also like to take this time to say that i will be more than willing to host maps for testing at anytime im up, and/or available. feel free to PM me with any mapping/testing/texturing/editing concerns/issues any of you might have in reguards to the RFU project. MrWizard Beat and AVPU im sure will help where they can if reachable. im just stating that if any of them are UNavailable...feel free to knock on my window. |
