Ok, here's whats going to happen. A Silent Ballot. AVPU's got a point. The mappers should be making the decision here.

So we don't get arguments, everyone that is mapping should send an IMS to me. In it, I want only 1 thing. Your theme of choice.

I'll tally them up, and the majority wins. Simple as that.

If I get IMS's from people who haven't signed up to map, they will be ignored and not counted towards the vote.

Also, any duplicate IMS's will be deleted. Please don't spam up my IMS.

Get voting. The quicker you all get back to me, the quicker we get this thing moving!

but who would go the distance of going on a diff comp to vote for RFU4?it'd be very unlikelyt as appose to ppl voting from their own comp several times in a couple of minutes.

Just like the last RFU....

6 Votes down, a good many to go. Votes are all over the board at this point.

Keep them coming!

Look in the last thread and tally up what each mapper said that they wanted to map in RFU4.

Mappers are doing the work they should choose not everyone and their brother.

The mappers are the one that have to be inspired to create.

Then lets just get going.

Sure and come with a theme players don't like and won't play like in the latest RFU.

Oh and Ferrit. If you're tired waiting for the results you can map something else. You have other projects in progress, haven't you.

And a great Bravo for all the mappers who engage to map without even knowing what will be the theme.
If they don't get the inspiration they'll release a crappy one. I suggest therefore to deal RFU as a map pack as usual. That way players will have to download the crappy maps along with the good.

What if we don't know if we want to map or not yet and we're waiting to see the theme before we decide..? Because I might map if it's a theme I like... Can I vote?

Yes i was also considering mapping but not whatever the theme is.
I won't force myself to release a crappy map on a theme i don't like.

i sent my choice but, i as well would prefer it if the map was something i could get into, as well as the people that will be playing it.

Molo I don't think the last one not being played as much had anything to do with the theme.

Maybe more that it was a CTF and not a DM. Just my opinion.

There is no way to make everyone happy here. We all tried at one time or another. That is why a vote will atleast let the majority be happy.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems but it will sure annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

What is the majority when the poll can be broken? I see no problem with a theme, it gives a sense of unity in the maps (rather than a collection of maps that were just published at the same time).

UMMMM.....i believe thats pretty much the general feeling here. i have no plans on mapping for a theme that i think is just llame. im open to a few of the themes. I will not make a map i dont want to make. that would be more like \"work\" than pleasure. i map in my free time, for fun. i dont map because i have to.
