Quoting Beatonator | I might make a secondary map, I have alot of interest for it. It isn't as good as my RFU4 - Linkin Park map. |
What?
That makes absolutely no sense at all!!!
You are going to quit on a map, in favour of a map idea that will produce an inferior map?
Nice one Beat |

Basically, my first map I fear is too complicated for me. Im going to give it another chance, after I get back into the swing of things AFTER making this map. Reason I feel I can make this map is because it isnt as complicated.
Dont worry. just consider me as Temporarily Paused, with my RFU map. |
Trying to find old players. Anyone about? Drop me a PM or reply to this thread:

My map is up and ready for testing....DM-RFU4-SPACEWALTZ. I have an idea for a second map which I'll tinker with...and we'll see if there is room in the pack or whether I just release it singly.
BTW, I tested A1's Animals map and it was great fun. My sons loved jumping onto the flying pig. |

What was the result of the debate concerning the legitimacy of your level? Based on a movie scene moreso than a song?

There wasn't a debate, there was confusion on someone's part. All sorted out.

Ahhh, someone was confused as to why you were making a map based on a film rather than being inspired solely by music, for a music-themed map-pack? Right Now I'm confused...
What song is it? And what film is it not from? |

Ahhhhh, I see that you've decided to be an a$$ today.
The music is Straus' Blue Danube Waltz. In Stanley Kubrick's movie 2001 a Space Odyssey he has a scene where he draws an analogy between the Danube (major transportation hub through mainland europe) and near earth orbit in his imaginary future (now our past).
I drew inspiration from this scene thinking that the Waltz would be perfect for a low gravity map surrounded by push regions so that the players would dance through the heavens as they tried to kill each other.
Constructuve criticism would be welcomed, bitchy harping about a map you haven't seen based upon someone else's uninformed guesses about a map he hadn't seen, not welcomed.

For those who aren't to familiar with classic music, the original name of the waltz RED is using is
"An der schönen blauen Donau" |
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. |

in reguards to my RFUmap;
i have made fixes to the problems(small ones)that have been pointed out to me, but havnt uploaded the newer version, because id like to get more feedback before i do. having to constantly DL my map is prolly a pain in the booty for some of you dial up fraggers. anyways, i was just wondering if others i hadnt heard from have tested it, and wether or not they found issues/problems. please post back here if you have tested, and your thoughts.
