Perhaps I'll buy a new PC, got one in sight but it's got a 8800 GTS and it's not configurable in that shop.
I've read news about the GTS before. They said nvidia was about to tweak the GTS because of the new GT (larger memory model) being faster.
Well probably the GT is cheaper than a GTS but yeah..I can't change it  |
Actually, the 8800GT 512Mb outperforms both 8800GTS 320Mb and 8800GTS 640Mb. And is nearly evenly comparable to the 8800GTX 768Mb, beating it in some benchmarks even.
And the old GTS line will be removed and replaced with unlocked sp of 112 rather than 96 of what they currently have. Btw, the new GTSs will not be based on the new G92 core.

Wow RED-FROG, I would have thought someone like you would build their own computer, rather than buy a premade one. Is it because you (sometimes) can't you get insurance on a comp you build yourself or something else? |

Ok, guys, back on topic about Pure Faction. Custom builts have insurance via lifetime warranties if you must know.

Well.... It solves alot of problems already.
Im sure Trot would like to see people post things they would like to see included 
NOTE: Because Pure Faction is community-based and not company-based, The community will have a say in what gets put into it... Well Trot will get the final say of course - But the community will have MUCH more of a say than they do right now.
So anyway... Post stuff you want to see in Pure Faction  |

I think over the years I've played enough/designed enough things to know what is needed by the game. However, I'm very open to suggestions (assuming they are sensible). |

uhm yeah, me getting a 8800gts soon I hope.
Actually you require Pure Faction for the graphics fix... I don't like this situation but I think I can't change it. I don't like the fact being depended on one version that is incompatible to others. With this fix Red Faction will work for 8x series, but with the negative aspect that you cannot join all servers. (I might be wrong..didn't read it all) |

1. You can join all servers, other people cannot play in yours however. If they join they will be given a message telling them how to download Pure.
2. Pure is the thing that RF has needed since the day it was released.
3. Everyone should go Pure. If they don't, make them. |

 i wish you could run a pure server but every body could join but instead their rf directory gets scanned for cheats or advatnages. |
