Goober, you little boy

I don't know why you "talk" this way, Myth needed to be block, LazyBan is a nice add to RF and you even give it a 5/5 review. I personally care much to a trustable compatible Anti-Cheats at start, but some features can be handy too and NVIDIA fix is welcome.

Myth gone and others block & ...will work for all languages…

Nice! About MAC, I don’t know if is feasible to work with distance collaboration with Hapa Hanu maybe…

1- If -mod cmd is not enable by default, does it mean is an external application that will also be a server assist? If not, it will be compatible with RFSA 4?

2- I would like & know, if you plan to implement the possibility to alternate gamemode without restart the server?

GoOd Luck for the jOb left & I wish to use the serverside ready for Xmod 1.1 release,

Well, unfortunately TrotSkie doesn't have a Mac to do research on at this time. Not sure if I want to ship him one of my precious babies either. Besides the incompatible voltage between our countries.

BTW, Morgoth there is a command line for the Mac version of RF on it's initial start up, a launcher window of sorts.

I have suffered in real life for the past couple years, now its your turn!

I don't know if alternating game mode would be that useful. It would be fairly easy to add, so I may test it out sometime.

Setting it to 99999 will make everything suck really badly. I run my client at 20000 and my servers at 42500. 42500 on a server can hold 28 players.

I seriously doubt that it depends on the rate ( maybe a litlle ) but most of it depends on your upload speed.

... Without an appropriate rate you lag like hell...

Ya I doubt it and steveands tell me in the past that Xmod files was compatible, but thanks to let me know with your baby MAC screenshot The goal is also to have an Anti-Cheat support...

GoOd to hear that is not a time consuming feature to add I think it will give more flexibility to server to follow the need of players more professionally without kick them out to change what they want to play.

Really nice then, I will probably switch to Pure Faction, I even like more the name UI mod are not clean, watch out your file!

BTW, I did not test crudedly datarate for now, but;

1- It is possible that very highrate server is not appropriate for 56k modem and cause more lag for them?
2- Inconstancy can also happen with hit detection when client have to difference between connections, can it be smart to reduce datarate a bit when lower connection join?
3- simultaneous_ping cmd, it is effective?
4- When change datarate in-game, does the server need to be restart?

Maybe some nice response can be forward and sticky to Dedicated Server topic.

I wish you change mind about the gamemode feature,

I have set it to T1/LAN which is... 30000
Is this bad or good?
I can host games for 12Players, done it one week ago, there is no doubt.
I never thought the rate would care since I have a good upload and the 12guys are happy.
Is it possible for me to host even more people? With a lower rate maybe?

You may have a very nice ping and is why your players are happy, reducing datarate would probably reduce client fluidity but also increase your player limit.

I grab somewhere recommended player limit for connection, is probably with the default 15000 datarate don't know what hosters think;

56k - 2 players
64k - 2 players
128k - 4 players
256k - 6 players
512k - 12 players
1024k - 18 players
2048k - 32 players

In older topics:

I run mine at 35000bps and can hold at least 28 players on a 1mbit connection.

If 30000 is T1/LAN, it is possible that RF cap there? Custom LAN datarate at 100000 ?

Can some staff take the task to regroup info to make a very clean sticky topic about Dedicated Server, max player limit ratio by datarate, misc tips...

Hello, I suppose this will be to Trotskie. I am wondering if you have a timeframe for a release of the 8800 fix? Sorry to bother you , its been awhile since i've held a rail in hand.

If i didn't keep getting distracted the beta version wouldn't take much longer at all. The beta version will be ready *soon* (thats as specific as you will get from me).

Thanks Trotskie, your our only hope. Nvidia has written R-F off as well. Without this fix R-F was destined to die, thank you big guy.
