16mb for 5 songs! I have 9 songs and its only 11.6mb (the 1 on the ftp is only 10.7 cuz i havent got around to u/ling newest version of the mus file ) and the quality is good. when converting i use "Microsoft ADPCM" for the format of the wave and "22.050KHz, 4 Bit, Mono, 10kb/s". this sounds really good for the small size but dont convert an already converted wav to this format cuz then it sounds scratchy. it sounds best when you go from mp3 or wma to this format or a cd quality wav.

I noticed a couple of things with Graveyard:

There are too many particle emitters so rocket explosions don't show up.

You can get outside the fence in the place with the headstones ( when being fired into the aread via the skull if you head towards the gates while in the air you end up behind them.

My D.O.B. is 25th September 1986 not 26th September 1988
As for the D.O.D. on the headstone...

hmm, the explosions on the fusion, remote mines, and gernades still show up.. does it really make a diff if rocket explosions dont show up? and thats perfactly fine if u get behind the fence because theres some trees with climbing region in them that you can climb up and snipe from or climb up and jump off and get back inside the fence and do i really have to re upload the whole map just to change a birth date? it takes 1h-1h and a half to upload and while im uploading i cant do anything else on the inet because its extremely slow.. and i still have to upload my most recient music file which will take 1h and 10 min - 1h and 40 min.

ummm also...it really lags a dedicated server. i run my dedi from my pc, and i cannot play when this map goes into rotation. it doesnt seem to affect any of the other players, but it sucks up about 85% of my cpu. other than that one, i can play all the others just fine. i know its prolly a hassle for ya IAC, but could ya cut back on some of the emitters. please id hate to not be able to play all the maps running on my server.

Lol you shouldn't make maps that end up that big a filesize

I average 25fps on the map, which is low. I noticed some of the corridors under the 'yard were hard to get into unless you ran at a certain part of them - the floor was higher in the corridor than in the room connected to it.

Also I'd add an invisible brush on the stairs so you don't have to jump up each step.

Here's a peak at what I just sent to the ftp. Go get it and check it out if ya would. Feel free to make any comments. I can tell ya there isnt spawn points or any music in it yet. I'll do more today after I sleep. It's tomorrow <--yawn
I would like to know how laggy it is. there is some crazy vertices and circluar moving brushes. Hit the jumppad in the middle of the floor to get up top and get explosives, for now Iam soooo tired or I would fix the things I already know need to be tweaked, but I must rest for a lil bit. OMG those are some really detailed record players you got there, man those things look great, and i love the: "hey your ruining my records" sound

You need to work on the door though it doesn't look like a door yet, and you also need to put in the multi respawn points, but i though you were planning to do that.

and i noticed this texure dissapearing problem, allthough it isn't a really problem, because the problem doesn't occure when i do one step forward or back ward but to point it out i'll show you a screeny i took.

I have other sounds for the other stuff, but, just cant get it to work yet.
yes the texture disappearing on that speaker was quite strange. I noticed it to but it is very quick and Im amazed you were able to get a picture of it. I really dont know what to do about it I could delete that one and copy and paste a new one. Of course Id have to add in all the keyframes again. Or maybe it just needs and airbrush where the handles intersect. Any ideas how to fix it?
When my pc burned up I lost some stuff. not much tho. I basically had to pick what I wanted to keep and what I wanted let go, that minute, do or die. Also, when levels changed I wasnt able to find the texture resource sites that I found in the past thru links here. If you have a door texture you could email me that would be cool. doesnt need to be fancy, just a plain wood door. I would add ya to msn, but I'm not sure how to. My msn email is blazaholic@gmail.com
I was also having major trouble with the crates in the middle under the table. Red was giving me an object out of level error, whenever I had them covered in climbing regions. I can only have a few climbing regions and theres no pattern to it. also the same spot in the crates has a point where the weapons dont fire. Weird.
When I move the completed climbing structure with crates and all from under the tables I (sometimes) wouldnt get the error. FRUSTRATING. Ill work more on this later this afternoon. thanks for the input. Did ya get the super armour when scratchin. on that it wil be interesting if it is "seen " by server only or by client side also. Had an issue with that eariler. Go check it out.

owkee beat i uploaded your map to the ftp.

the thing i told you with the music not covering the tips of the arrows can be easely changed i think, like this:

just change the Min dist for the ambient sounds from 10 to 21 and set the rolloff to 3

that should do the trick i think.
