i had to completely over haul the whole map. but on a good note...things are almost back to where they were before.
heres an image of the revamped look of things.

quite a bit darker i think. might have to increase the light a bit.

For your Particle Emitters A1, I would suggest:-

A Longer Decay
A Slower Spawn Time
A Lighter Grey Colour
Less Random Direction
Sligtly Larger Particle Radius
Add some Fade
Decrease the Alpha

Just my opinions tho. They usually take quite a lot of messing around with to look good, it's all trial and error. But hope the above might point you in the right direction

hahahaha ENM , I told u Ferrit is full on with detail..... Im not showin any pics of my Map, U all will just have to wait and see.. and BTW its 10 meg Ziped , not 10 meg .vpp , that included Wav ? to make it simple if I can make the whole map (including sound) in a zip or rar under 10 megs I\'m safe ..... correct?

Yes. It has to be 10MB compressed. Zip or RAR. You can include more music if you need to, but it must then be in a separate VPP. That VPP, compressed should also be about 10MB, but we're flexible with that one. The Map VPP MUST be 10MB compressed.

Well, if we are going to go to the effort of not occluding MAC users by not using music events to control multiple songs or looping songs, then we really oughta make sure that all the maps are in *.ZIP files and not *.RAR. I don't think MAC users can open *.RAR files can they?

Do we really care about the Mac users?
this might sound a bit harsh. But I don't know anyone who uses mac, and i don't know, What i have to do to make my map as Mac compatible as possible.

With the number of RF players dwindling, do you not think we should try to include as many of them as possible?

As far as I am aware, just do not use music events to make looping music or to have more than one song play. If you do want more than one song, it is easier to attatch the songs in Goldwave and add a pause between them. Save this as one wav and add it into an ambient sound (that's the third time i've said that in this one thread)

Also, until IAC just mentionned, I didn't think MAC users could unzip WanRAR files so I'd have thought it best to ZIP them instead. But if a RAR decompresser is avbailible for MAC uses now then that problem is solved

so, they can hear the music in an ambiant sound right?
also...wav-joiner works for joining wav files, but you have to make them 16bit first, and the free trial will only allow you to join 2 at a time. i just rename the first 2 , then add another, and repeat the steps until i have as many tracks as i want. only doing 2 at a time isnt that bad of a deal.
