I have this factory map in progress called Factory of Death. It's a factory, if you haven't guessed. So far my ideas are for it to look like a normal factory on the outside, but when you go inside you are greeted with lots of mulching machines built into the floor (covered in blood), sawblades spinning away underneath those (also covered in blood), and a watertower (full of blood, some organs/brains/entrails floating around). How much of this do I have done? Just the main brushwork, a few rooms built, smokestack with smoke coming out, and the watertower. Anybody have any blood-like liquid textures for me to use?

My map is nearing completion now, I had some troubles with RED crashing when i copy pasted a building, but I fixed that with a portal brush and putting buildings into a group. And I probabbly won't be able to put alot Geo into the level

I don't know how this level is gonna run and I'd like to know the code that shows me the fps or framerate or something in RedFaction does anyone know this code?

Wow Mostert, looking symetric... err, I mean good. The lighting looks like it could use some tweaking, though, it's really easy to tell that all the light is coming from the center. Maybe move the light(s) up or add more along the edges of the map?

Yeah I know it is pretty symetric I'm planning on tweaking that a bit but not to much, because it makes for great gameplay this way, I haven't really worked on lightnin or weapon placement or anything yet, I do how ever have some light in their and they are spotlight shinin down from above, so the light isn't coming from the center, anyways thanx for your feedback.

I have done that and get results like this:

Framerate / FPS 0.015/73

Framerate / FPS 0.030/33


So what does this exactually tell me?
Is that good or bad ?

Maybe you could try using the timedemo optional command line which will give you better results Mostertman..

I love the look of the map by the way..

So far its looking fairly good, now all I need to do is add more lighting and detail. Then it should look even better.

veiled! I finally finished the construction of the map Dust2.
it does not remain me any more that to place the weapons and Multiplayer Respawn Point.

but I could not send it immediately to you because I a week leaves on holiday, therefore you will be able to download it approximately at the end of August.
