Sorry to say this guys.. but i just don't feel the inspiration of the theme. Music is all well and good for those of you who like songs which have a mappable meaning..

If it was another theme, I would definitely be submitting. But.. as it is music, I cannot gather the ideas to map.

posting to remind you all.. because some seem to have forgot

I hope everybody has read my feedback about your maps on: -> page 62 <-

Because I'am now uploading a latest version of map to the FTP. I still have a lot of work to do to it. But I could use some suggestions far what i have made thus far.

Feel free to give me any feedback you want, I won't get mad

Have you have any suggestions for the music in the map feel free to tell mee because there isn't really music in it yet except for the music you make yourself. Also it like some suggestions on what more to put into the room, to fill it up a bit more.

Waiting for comments.....

last time I only got feedback from SKA-Diesel, Thanx SKa, but I'd like to see some more feedback this time.

ok i just had a run through very nice work. a couple things you could add are..more stuff on the shelves(to hide and snipe behind) a way out of that damn drawer (possibly a climb region by the keyhole for sniping ) throw some jumppads on the cds(one on the table has a default grey texture in the center) and in the plants.(maybe also add some hanging plants as well ) one of the paths up the back of the piano seems to lead nowhere maybe a secret i missed? maybe you could make it so you can get out of the fan, other than the way you got in. and lots of ammo and stuff, but that part im sure your well ahead of me on
as far as music goes....not too sure maybe some Jamiriqui(sp ) since you have that poster in there.
very nice work man. keep it coming.
BTW i have made yet another vbm having removed a couple names here is a sample of it.(this is a gif. not the actual vbm)

Ok, for all you ranting and raving about the Teleporters map.....

It was a surprise entry, however, the mapper wasn't aware there was a theme. THey uploaded it to the L4Y ftp, also, not knowing we had a separate FTP. I got an IMS about it, and after reviewing with Jan, we determined that it didn't fit the theme and he would release it separately. He was going to upload a revised version that didn't have the RFU4 on it, however it was in the FTP and Frank saw it. I replied to Frank's post saying that it should be changed, however, it got posted. No harm, no foul. It can be changed.

Lets all take a few deep breaths and stop acting like the map is single handedly going to ruin RFU.

GET BACK TO WORK!

Dankone, you can remove Lenninator from the VBM. He pulled out a few days ago.
AND...I just checked...we've beaten the number of forum pages from RFU2 and 3...RFU2 was 45 pages and RFU3 was 37. We're now sitting on almost double that....lotta spam me thinks...

I will upload my map, and the MP3 of the music I want in it. I would be great if someone could do the following things for me...

1) Make the map more accessable to the many floors, and finish the sky area.

2) Add the music in and trigger it up to loop.

3) Add in as many avatars as you guys want. I will be willing to give up my credit for the involvement of all the other members. If you want to, you can hand it off to each other. If you do that, then orginize it with the other members.

4) Post it for me, and enjoy the map!

If you have anything on your mind to zest it up a bit, do so! Make it fun. I gave you the theme and layout, so take some of your own ideas and finish this one off.

Ill post tonight.

WHAT?!! WHY??? Why don't you finish it?

I dont have any time. Im rushing to get final work done for school, then im leaving on a trip for the whole summer. Wont be online at all. Ill try my hardest to get some time to work on it, but I dont know about it. Ill submit my work on thursday night, before I have to go. I hope that I get it all finished up!

LOL, if folks spent the time mapping instead of forum gabbing we;d be flush with maps instead of dropouts.

Man if you are going to lie, at least make sure there isn't proff against it. You told me that he was going to upload another version of it?
I believe this is what you wrote:

Frank, it was supposed to be part of RFU4, but he didn't realize there was a theme. As far as I know, it can be released. He may want to change the level name and such though first...

Key words right there are these: As far as I know, it can be released. He may want to change the level name and such though first
I sent him/her an email and he/she never responded. Don't make me out to look like the bad guy here. YOU said it was OK to release it. It's so sad, also the only reason this thread has gone on so long is because of all the fighting and spam. Thread size doesn't matter. It's the content that matter. You want a large page count then you know where you can go...The spam thread.
I might also remind you that neither YOU or Jan Radt ever sent me an IM letting me know what to do. IF YOU or Jan Radt had done that I could have taken it off the site or never post it. Now do YOU still think it's my fault?

Well the only way that file is coming down is if you have one of the Demi admin do it OR I get an IM/Email from Jan Radt, since it is NOT your level. I won't do it if you or any other member here asks me too.

Frank...how much time did you give the person in question to respond to your email, I know it was less than 5 hours between your post about it to when you posted that it was uploaded. Do you think that it was enough time, making allowances for time zones, commitments such as work, school, sleep etc... answer the question yourself, and if you feel you have done the right thing by all parties, then you have a clear conscience and have to answer to no-one

What you think that I wait until I make a post to send an email to the author? Now if the members don't keep an update email address on their profile, then it is not my fault. I sent another mappers an email and I told him that I deleted the file because he submitted 2 files with the same .rfl & .vpp names. They are two different maps. He just made the mistake of not adding a 2 to the end of the second map. If he emails me back then that would be great but at this point it doesn't really matters as I removed the file from the site. The reason behind that is it would confuse the people trying to play that level. It's like DM-Rail Arena. We have the latest version here at this site while Corpeses and Red Faction View had an older version. They are both the same one has one date(on the .rfl) than the other. So don't try to use that as an excuse to why didn't I remove Jan's map. When a file is uploaded, we can see the email address of the person that upload a file. I can just copy and past the address in the send to box. That's easy, but if the email on their profile is wrong. I can't be blamed for that. The other harder way is too send them an IM here at the site. That often doesn't work either with the new people on this site.
In closing, YES I did give it enough time.

are those Technics 1200's I see. The actual speakers look kicking. Are they Kickers. Looking good Mr.Carter.

Remember what DJs used in the club before the 1200s? Nobody else does either.

That's because our heavy-duty design, vibration-resistant construction, and mechanical precision make a lot of what those early DJs did possible. This deck was the first to feature a Direct Drive motor, quartz movement for total accuracy, adjustable tone arm weights, anti-skate control, a pop-up target light and a sliding pitch control. With each new improvement, as form follows function, the Technics turntable has become a thing of beauty.

From the community centers at the beginning of the disco era to the clubs of today, Technics decks have been the standard for over thirty years.

then that is fine, your conscience is clear and you have no-one to answer to

and as far as the Technics decks go, I entirely agree with you, my Mom bought Dad a Technics deck more than 20 years ago and it hasnt been serviced or adjuste at all, still works as good as the day it was first taken out of the box.
