UMM..ok he's not wrong. The file on the FTP is over 12MB. The map on your HDD might be 2 or 3 megs, but the file on the FTP is much larger. That file was uploaded on May 23rd. Also, and your not the only one, but your outburst has brought it to light, I've asked several times, when you upload, please create a folder named with your name and the date. Its not terribly hard.
Now, please don't be calling folks liars. Its my FTP and its showing up as 13MB. So rather that [Censored] and complain, how bout ya fix it? Re-upload it, do something. No reason to write a ranting post here. |

Chill out ! all I see is wot is on the ftp,and all I asked was if my rar could be excused for being 10.4 meg due to the VMB.I still havent been answered to that yet, and frankly I dont GAF how big ur map is ,I don\'t think 10 megs is enuff anyway.
and I cant see ya pic ,so you might wanna consider geting some help with editing ur screenshots?  |

Ok, look, its this simple. The map was uploaded on May 23rd. I can tell that from the logs. The map IS 13 MEGs. I can tell that from the logs. I don't know how it got that big, and frankly I don't care. We don't need to waste forum space arguing about it. If the map is wrong, delete it and re-upload.
And Shadow, you can call people liars all you want, but I think you'll end up without any friends. Why are you even responding to it? I was speaking to Blaze as he was the one that called Itch a liar in the first place.
To clarify, Blaze, I just downloaded the map. It contains 2 more RAR files. One is your map, which is about 10Megs before compression and the other is your music, in its own VPP. It must have been uploaded that way. It didn't bloat to some abnormal size. You uploaded it with music, and you forgot about it. Its still within the rules though, because the map RAR is under 10megs. The music RAR doesn't have a real limit. They're just then RARed again together. |

Ok , just clear things up here I looked at planetary in VPP manager , ur sky box tga's = 6 of em all 512x512 = 768 kb each ,768 x 6 = 4608 megs , and thats just ur sky box , the whole map VPP file = 11.7 meg . The Music VPP = 13.2 meg , Im not bein a smart a$$ but that are the files that were uploaded on the 23rd of May 05 , in 1 rar =12.8 meg containing 1 folder named RFU4Planetary ,which contains 2 rar files Dm_RFU4-planetary.VPP = 2.57 MB and Planetary music.VPP = 10.3 meg . So 2.57meg + 10.3meg = 12.87...... make sence now?

And Yes its still within the rules |

ummmm. isnt this called RedFactionUnite?  not mappers bickering over minor issues.  as far as blazes map size goes...im sure that if it didnt fit the size limit when deadline came, Wiz would make him aware of it and fix it if he wanted it in the pack. as far as you(itch) being Barely over the size...im sure if you had just addressed Wiz with your query in a PM he would have given you an answer to your question. 
now correct me if im wrong here...DVL-shadow..your not mapping for this project are you? its cool to have your clans back and all, but i really dont think you had the place to but in and make your voice heard about the subject. i think Blaze can speak well enuff on his own. hopefully this is the end of this all, and we can get back to whats important (creating a sick a$$ map pack for the comunity to enjoy  )

Yeah Im cool A1 , will say this and Ill never speak again. Planetary does not load on RFSA and it crashes due to geo in normal multi create game! Ive said wot I needed to say . Good bye! and Goodluck with your maps all of you !

with the bickering and put downs going on in this thread and over this pack, I am almost scared to upload. My map is not finished, it is about half done, consists of 2 buildings one being a music shop containing guitars, drums a piano and a large counter on the ground floor and a sniping position on the upper floor, the other building being only accessible by a secret passage. in the centre of an open area is a large guitar, sort of like a monument that contains a secret passage.... thats about as far as I have got to date as I have run out of ideas. I had intended uploading to ask guys to test and maybe suggest something, but judging by what has gone on, I would only get ripped to bits by people who arent even submitting maps, so i might just withdraw and finish my map seperately, submitting it for download as a stand alone at a later date. Oh and by the way, if you have no constructive advice or are not submitting for this pack Shadow then maybe you should just CENSORED and mind your own business. |

interesting what u ca miss over a period of two days. if we want this to come out we need to work together and have patience to take the criticism given by others. just relax and have fun every one
o and ENM i persanoly am not mapping but im sure the pack would be at a very large loss of u with draw, go ahead and submit and lets see what we can get out of this |

Ignore that comment Grim, I played it again this morning and the lighting was fine.
To fix the music simply change the roll off to "1", not "0.1"
Blaze, your map is cool, but its still crashing. I got RED to check for holes and it found 2.
Hope you can fix them.
Also those 109 PS2 faces wont be doing you any favours... hunt 'em down and eliminate them. |
