I have tested Itch's map and the teleporters did not kill me once so A1 must have done something else and if this is what the rest of RFU4 brings then ill be very happy with the mappack (although some things killed me ... im not giving anything away )

btw dont get angry at itch for letting me test as i was shown the early version with the problems as itch was ready to give up.

Okay.. I've started my NEW idea for a map and it looks like it's going okay. I only have the main sniper part done so far, but look forward to more... Oh and I'm not giving anything away.





Anyways.. just thought I'd let you know

really? hmmm. killed me the first 5 times in a row i tried it. then i finally tried hitting the trigger from as far back as i could, thats when it finally worked for me. oh and yes i tested it in game not in RED.
did you try it with all the player models? i know some just dont work for some things. why? i dunno. it sucks, but its true. look at RJs microjustice map. some of the player skins dont trigger the jump pads. thats just wrong. well, ill look into the skin thing for ya if ya want. but really i had to SERIOUSLY try, and get it to NOT kill me. hopefully it was my skin.
just to make sure, we are talking about the trigger on the wall that takes you to the glass above? right?
EDIT: well, i looked into the player model idea, and that wasnt it. do all of you use the same model? i was able to only get it to work for one model. but even then, only once. i tried 3 male skins, and 3 female skins. the first one i tried made it the first try, and noone ever made it again. i dont know what the issue is, but id be more than happy to show ya in person. heres a pile of bodies i created.(note they all fell from the ceiling in the exact same spot.)

Very strange ,cause I allways test all skins with things like that and yes that big Goofy robo skin did die , but I fixed it with that skin. 5 ppl have tested it with me and noone has died and I asked them to use the damn thing over and over, , and I agree that skins should not make a diff , but sadly this is not the case ,hmmm wot next?. add me to MSN and we will test ? itch33@hotmail.com , about all I can think of doin for now.
Just for the record I went and used every skin and used the trigger twice on each skin and It didnt kill me once here is a pic of 5 of the skins (dead after I killed myself)..

My map is basically finished. It's on my gaming pc and will be converted to this pc and then sent to others for testing for anything else needed thoughts for my map.

My map isn't the greatest I know, but it's a nice close combat micro.

i should be done my map by next sunday if i work on it next friday and saturday what i dont understand though is my rfl is 3.7mb without lighting calculated and 16.8mb with lighting calculated ohwell its still under the limit 7.65mb rared all together sofar idk how much longer i'll be able to keep adding stuff to the map though...

Well you'll be able to add a bit more if you fix those PS2 faces and especially that hole! Holes are bad. Fix holes!

I would be considering those areas highlighted as problem areas that need to be fixed before you go much further

YIKES, fix the hole first....then the ps2 faces (get rid of as many as you can), then move on to the t-joints.

I don't know much about the way the map is setup as I have only just got on after the weekend and I have college soon which isnt enough time to DL the map. I might put a guess at the problem is Fall Damage. Although it might make not much sense to you, try turning it On/Off. what have you both had it set to?

I all ways run my server with fall damage FALSE , but its not that high to fall from ,at a geuss I think somehow dankone is geting slamed into the roof of the map , its just weird its only happening to him? ,as of now 6 ppl have tested it , and it has not killed anyone!

Tested tonite in my server with Itch and LordSeafood... no probs with the teleports unless 2 players try to use it at the same time... gj Itch its lookin good

The teleporters work fine for me in itchs unless 2 people try to use the teleport at once which kills bith players whihc has a pretty slim cahnce of happening
