And you say it's "meant" to use geo-mod, it may be something similar(terrain wise), but nothing will be like Volition's Geo-Mod.
And to tell you the truth, if you think the Source Engine doesn't look all that good... Have you even seen what it is capable of?! Obviously not. The Source Engine has MUCH more to offer than you think. There are mods out there that show off it's glory. You should check them out.
Rather than placing CounterStrike against CounterStrike Source...
And DARTH JOKER, SIN was NOT new news.... Old news m8, it's been on the Steam Powered forums somewhere in there. And also in PCGamer magazine I believe as well.

Didn't they say that for the PS3 as well to be released late last year, or early this year??.... lol |

you know enstead of everyone say wich game engine geo will do or look better on. why not try and make it work on all game engine's. i my self would love to see jedi outcast & acadamy with geo (they run off the quake three engine right?) i mean just being ably to actuly cut up the envirment with a lightsaber would ROCK.
allso if violation /thq is not plaining to make another red faction or any gmae with geo why don't thay just give up the code.
P.S. being that i am boycoting any game that uses steam. i idn't know SIN news was posted on steam forums. i did see the mag artical though. |

Come now, Steam isn't THAT bad. I like how it is able to organize the games and such, and being able to play all the games without having a CD/DVD in the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM is just great |

OK, just to get this right. RF1 and RF2 support Geo Mod no other game will ever unless it's RF3. A good few other games do support destructible terrain to some degree or another but not in the exact same fashion as Red Faction because the RF Geo Mod technology is owned by Volition/THQ.
As I stated on the previous page the Source engine is capable of destructible walls and such. Blow out a specific wall in DoD: Source with a couple of nades or a zooka and the wall will be destroyed. Always in the same way though. Not random like in RF.
So Killer the Unreal3 engine won't have GeoMod unless it's being made by Volition. It's not.
It may have destructible terrain though like a couple of dozen other games over the last few years.
Darth Sobe is right about Sin Episodes. It's been widely advertised for at least the last 9 months/year.
Also DJ, if you haven't tried Steam in a while I suggest you try it again. I was one of the dopey buggers that downloaded and installed it when it 1st came out and it was crap. Don't get me wrong it's still crap but not nearly half as crap as it was. You're still going to suffer with it big time if you have a crap PC or connection though.
One good thing about steam is not only are the Source engine games being constantly updated but the Source engine is too. Gotta be a good thing. |

In the last few months my source games have only updated about 3 times (i started playing just after the 3rd character models were released for both teams)
The only time it updated and it took ages was after i did an install of the disk and had to update CSS DoDS and HL2 M from there commercial states. |

umm am boycoting anything to do with steam. however by boycote by be mislead. is it true that in order to even play single player missions. you mist still log on to steam first. (i do not play milti player unless it co-op)
also it violation /thq doesn't have to make RF 3 to use geo. hell they could make agame called spunge bob square pants VS barny. and as long as it has geo and is extramly moddable. I'LL BUY IT  .............................................

DARTH JOKER I too feel the same way like you about STEAM. I want to play the single player of Half Life 2 again but I don't feel like having to go through the update process. That and what happens if I forgot my log in password. What then, what if I don't have the email that they have on file any more.

You can play HL2 SinglePlayer, same with any other SP game via Steam, even MP games via Steam without having to update. Simply login once, tick the "Remember my Password", and then login. Now log out, and open Steam again, it will automatically log into Steam now with that info. Just disable your net connection and play the SP or MP, or whatever |

so it's true you have to log onto steam just to play single player. NOW THAT BULLXXXX. what about people with no internet connection (like i hused to be 10 years ago). what are they going to do with a game they just bought and can't play???? |
