I got the list of prospective players, there are two prospective servers and there will be a password issued to everyone in the near future. All we can do is wait and think good thoughts. When tomorrow comes - we can go bannanas in Trump's server and see how it holds up to the carnage! 
Soon Beatonator will reveal the maps of choice - standard or custom. If there are custom maps, I can send 'em to V-Becker for immediate distribution. It's all good! 
PS: Beatonator I will do anything for you, even your laundry. But I don't know what u mean or how to get links for PM commands - I am a machinist not a computer guru - I am so embarrassed.  |

you know how above everyones posts theres a pm button so you can pm the user. I think he wants you to look at a post from everyone whos playing ang give him the link to everyones pm button. Ex. your pm link is http://redfaction.levels4you.com/pm.l4y?sendto=42089. Your going to have to open eack link in a new window then copy the link form the address bar because when you right click the pm button and go to properties it just gives you the link to the picture for the button not the actuall link the button goes to.  |

and no worries Beatonator, i believe people who are here for Red Faction are keeping it alive, not only people who release alot of maps. If us peasents were not around, who would play the gods maps? |

Trump are you going to be running custom maps or only defaults. For testing purpose, I think it's best to use only defaults. You know how it is around here. everybody wants customs but when it comes to it, they don't have them install.  |

You have like almost all the maps for RF its easy for you And Trump i,ve played at your server before get kicked by a Censored nooby bastar* coz of my ping  But your server is fun to play. |

Just because I have most of the maps, doesn't mean I want to play them all. I have a few authors maps in a single .vpp and sometimes I get kicked in a server for not having a file in one of those .vpp. Since RF has a file size limit, it can't handle all maps ever maps. So I constantly have to switch map packs. It's funny when I get kicked from my own server for not having the file. LOL

That's basically how Trump!'s server came to be called "Micro's 24/7".
Anything else and everybody gets kicked.

I play in Trump!'s when there's poeple in it and i can say that T! wouldn't put up with behaviour like that. I played in there last night and my ping was spiking at around the 1200 mark.

It's true, Frank got kicked the other night for not having the map. Thank God though, the cheating CENSORED is impossible to get rid of otherwise.
Pred I've currently got 3.61 GB of custom maps and that's after losing a load to various hard drive nosedives and one spectacular mobo explosion. All of which were downloaded on my ever faithful 56k connection.
There's no excuse for not having maps unless they were only released in huge map packs.
Get downloading.
Oh yeah, I'm sure I could say bast'd yesterday.

I blinked and missed this thread...
V-Becker - sorry for the problems getting you setup with an account. Namely the downtime and missing emails.
We had issues with a faulty harddrive (followed by some faulty RAM, I'm still waiting for the 3rd failure... ) which kept crashing the server, causing the downtime. As the failed drive was the one with the OS installed on it we had to reload the OS onto a new drive. This action broke the mail server
There was a period of around 36 hours where no email was sent out from the site.
As for the game, enjoy.... my money is on the community |

I will be running default maps only tonight. After that I'm not sure.
