We really need more good singleplayer maps here on L4Y.
I don't know how many players actually play previousily released multiplayer maps against other people in servers. But I think not many do.
Instead of wasting time on the creation of multiplayer maps, some mappers might create some decent singleplayer maps.
Well, you might thing I'm ignorant, because I don't have internet anymore and SP maps are all I can play...lol that's probably right  
Yesterday I was browsing the singleplayer maps on L4Y. I couldn't find anything which I haven't played yet, or looks good enough to give it a try. I have tested some levels, but most of them were really small and made no sense.
I think singleplayer maps have a future here, these can always be played. And it's also possible to create a small mod (new clutter, vfx files, weapons, entities) for every mission which makes it even more attractive for the mappers, and the players.
Somehow I love to create a network of 1000 events just to get a door opened and somebody goes trough it in a cutscene hehe
what do you think about it? |

I'm working on REDSUCKS Episode 2, and thats a SP map. Although it wont make much sense to anyone (and it shouldn't) but it will be totally worth the download if you like comedy. Who doesn't like comedy?! 
I was working on a SP TC called universes but nobody wanted to help despite my numerous calls for help... ALL OF YOU ARE A BUNCH OF TOSSERS YOU HEAR ME!! lol
I had new weapons and characters well on their way but lack of intrest and assistance quickly discouraged me... Although I had worked a reasonable amount of the whole TC through, it was all lost when my hd fried. mabye it would still be worked on if someone had come forward to help... but now all i have left of it is crappy remains left from the CDC alpha release...  |

D2k, you've posted screenshots of a Singleplayer map you were making..you've been very proud of it..done a lot of detail work n that stuff on it.

Here! Here!
Large SP levels which make sense do take alot more time and dedication to finish than MP maps. I started building them before I got access to the net and L4Y,but never released any. There's sooo much you can do with SP, not just events but also detail. The game can handle alot when it's not going to have to dump other players in there with you 
I think another RF mapping competition but only for SP would be an interesting idea, see what insane things people come up with |

YEAH ! We want single player maps and good ones and making a single player map competition will really bring out the best of the mappers and new mappers.When do we want new single player maps!Now! What do we want!New single player maps!.Yeah |

why dont all of the mappers at l4y who want to create a full SP seris call it like the l4y saga or something 
ill be in on it 
although someones is going to have to teach me how to use cutscreensand nav points and other SP ONLY techniques, ive never done any reading into SP 
and i think they should bring back the mappping compitions, ill be in on any one i can |

yep, me and GTA have started a Single player things, an hijack on airplanes and stuff...a hole story, not just a simple map, you get different missions, just matters where you walk

I was thinking it would be cool to make an Assassin SP mission where you have to kill someone, without being caught, and there are several methods of killing the person
i.e poisoning their drink
a bullet to the head
etc |

yah like i was thinking a full WWII seris made by as many mappers here on l4y as we need, for the end mission is to assassinate adolf hitler.
that would be cool |

i dont meen the map WWII i meen make a seris of SP maps of the acuall war, kind of like a call of duty type thing |
