Looking real good Adam. When's it going to be finished?

Start Turning things into keyframes. Like select all the brushes that make up your computer chair and make it into a group then select the group and hit keyframe. Then keep doing this to different things until red stops crashing. Making things into keyframes puts more stress on your video card but takes stress off red's rendering engine. |

sorry, no. blind arena 1&2 were very similar in style and game play, while The Hollow (working title ) is a completely different animal; the only similarity is the texture scheme im using.
update: map is nearing completion, just playing with technical issues ATM.

I've decided against lighting for it, since the whole idea of it is you're trapped inside a kind of computer simulation (heh), and I don't think that there would be much lighting involved in it. I've decided instead to try and make the textures have a glowing kind of look to them. So far all efforts have looked pretty flat. |
Even if ya don't light your map remember to calculate the lights or you will get the usual RED bug if you have any geo in level etc. |

Aye, if you want to calculate lights to make your map look the same as it was before you did, set the level ambient light to pure white. |

screens of my newest map for Game Type: Domination
DOM_Fortress
the layout is medieval keep in the center of a hill surrounded by two great walls that can be climbed, immense gates that can be opened and blasted through. the defending team can completely seal off the keep from intruders for a short time. the attacking team makes use of trebuchets, catapults, siege towers and battering rams. blue attacks, red defends.

The texture properties has a "Full Bright" option. This will add the maximum amount of light to it evenly. |

something made me open up RED again, and this will probabbly be another map that I will never finish. its going to be an island floating in the sky with a castle on it, something i've been wanting to make since a long time ago. Its in its early development stage, so it will probally look nothing like the end result but still... here it is:
