LOL people like you make me laugh (hence the "LOL" .) SOME present rap artists actually are really good with words and their lyrics are actually very well made.
i believe the only style of music lyricless is techno/trance/house etc even though some occasionaly have lyrics (im thinking scooter/brooklyn bounce etc) and some heavy/death metal to a much lesser extent (the ones where they just pretty much scream) |

So all Rock/Heavy Metal has bad lyrics? Methinks you are making some gross generalizations.
Oh, and claiming DMX has great lyrics completely nullified your argument. |

I'm into metal and classic rock bands. Here is what I think are the best albums:
...And Justice for all-Metallica
reinventing the steel-Pantera
Animals-Pink Floyd
Houses of the holy-Led Zeppelin
Super Unknown-SoundGarden
Jar of Flies-Alice in Chains.
of course, I'm also into 90's. Oh and you can't spell crap without rap and EMO is just CENSORED |

Def Leppard - Pyromania
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Bottom line, Pink Floyd is still great. |
I TOLD YOU I'D SHOOT!
BUT YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME!
WHY DIDN'T YOU BELIEVE ME?! |

You're not supposed to listen to 50 Cent, you're supposed to have him playing when your drunk off your CENSORED at a dance. THEN he's good... he might not be good at rapping, but hey he's got good beats (he's produced by Eminem, of course he does ) This works with most modern rappers actually. Lil' Jon and his extended gang is another great example. Anyways, onto my list:
Adema - Adema (the original, before they got soft and changed the singer)
Disturbed - The Sickness (Great modern/industrial metal)
Aiden - Nightmare (CD just came out, underground band that used to play around here a lot in little clubs and starting to hit the big time, recommend you check them out!)
Lil' Jon & The Eastside Boyz - Kings of Crunk (Its annoying when you're sober, but its put in the list for the reasons mentioned above )
3 Doors Down - The Better Life (Their first and best album, and arguably one of the best modern rock outfits out there)
Eve 6 - Horrorscope (No bad songs at all)
Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Tree (Good example of modern punk/alternative)
Green Day - American Idiot (This CD has been out in shop CD player since it came out, and I have yet to get sick of it. This says something if you knew the amount of time I spend out there)
Lostprophets - Start Something (Modern Rock mixed with some electronica)
Marilyn Manson - Lest We Forget (The best of a great rocker)
Metallica - The Black Album (Definetly a class of all time)
Nirvana - Nevermind (Of Course)
Offset - The Giving Tree (Underground band - pretty good though)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californiacation (The PERFECT road trip CD)
Rob Thomas - Something to Be (For those emotional days)
Tim McGraw - Everywhere (to fall asleep to)
Trillville - Trillville Reloaded (Same reasons as Lil' Jon)
Usher - Confessions (Simply for the song Yeah! the best modern song for dances yet made, beat and lyric wise)
Velvet Revolver - Contraband (80 and 90s bands remake themselves and hit it big in the present. YAY) |

Yeah, Di'anno is a booze-hound, maybe that's why he rocks so hard.
As for not mentioning maiden, you should be very ashamed! |
