FuryThor, they arent here to talk about fixing bugs and such, they are here for a game. Just play, you have been wanred about asking questions.

can i suggest, given the historical significance that everyone make bit of an effort to take some good screenshots (not like sids last one lol) . . & after maybe rar em up, give the file your L4Y name with the game type/server, then host the whole lot all together @ the same location, FTP woteva . . bound to be a xmas DeskTop for us all in there somewhere  |

I will be taking end game screenshots and random ones throughout the matches.
Also at one stage throughout can we get all participating players into one setup screenie where one person gets in a higher position and gets a screenie with 20+ people in it? |

i could whip up a little like 400kb level with a spinning turntable for that.

All --
We are looking forward to the game as well. 8PM CST (or -6GMT if you guys need it that way). That's the best time we could come up with. Please note:
1) We will have chances in the future to play more. This won't be the only game. Most here are pretty excited about getting on and playing
2) yes, some of the people who worked on RF will be playing. I expect them all to have V-<name>tags, like mine. They won't all be their last name and they might not all be in that form. I'm going to ask that they do though.
3) As has been said before, we really aren't going to answer questions about mods, patches, future plans, etc. That's just simply not something we are going to respond to. And to be honest, some of our guys might just jump out if they feel harassed. That's the plain and simple truth.
It sounds like it won't really be an us vs. them match either, but just a good all out frag-fest. We are looking forward to it. |

Totally agree and if anybody breaks those rules and starts asking those types of questions, they just might get kicked from the server and I encourage all others server to do the same. I don't want to make anyody feel unwanted but this is a game we are going to have not an inquisition. 
This is an chance to play against/with some of the creators of a game that has brought me joy over the years....that's all folk.

Okay I will be respecting that, and focus on owining volition's employees And hope that I can have that discusion in future (maybe)
I had few _IN DEPTH_ stuff related to modding table files about what I would have discussed here, but since it is forbidden then !_I will_! respect that decision.

Hapa Hanu made that perfectly clear for me yesterday when we played practice maps (btw. I owned hes sorry butt )
And those things to tell/discuss are details what are making adding new weapons harder, and some fine knowledge stuff (generally not bugs but weird things and mostly some things what I have noticed while messing around with table files [looking for that single mark at wrong place etc.])
But I will discuss it other time Hopefully
But hey if volition staff reads this : I would say that even though I am not an professional game scene journalist : Still RED editor earns award of best level editor : Because most simple and most workable I have been using (from duke's level to GTK-radiant and few others here and there ) And that is one reason I like RF And RF gives new meaning to rocket launcher hunt.
But ONE THING PREVAILS : Red Faction Owns the legacy of quake FOREVER ! |
