Well the way I understand it GK, a download accelerator is a programme that selects several download slots at the same time to increase your downloading speed, sometimes by up to 10 times, it also has the ability to 'remember' where abouts you were within the download so as to be able to resume from where you left off in case the download aborts due to lost connection or something.

Go to your windows directory and open system32, most likely there will be many EXE files that are suspisious. Keep the pointer over a file and if it doesn´t show that Microsoft made it, delete it. (unless the date of the file modified is older than 2005.
If you can´t delete a file, go to task manager and turn off explorer, then click "new task" and write cmd, then write in the command line window that appears: DEL "X:\<location of windows folder\system32\file.extension".
When you´ve cleaned up everything you found, look into the Windows folder, not a subfolder, sometimes files go there.
Then go to your registry, Local Machine and Current user. In there look around all the folders and try to spot folders labbeled the spyware/advare name, or some strange name you´ve never seen.
And of course, scan your computer with adaware/spybot and then virus scan with your virus protection.
Btw, Norton and Spysweeper aren´t very good programs telling from my experience. I use Panda AntiVirus and Spybot and I´ve never had problems like these.
And last thing, find a startup program, it tells what programs launch at Win startup. If you see one of that crap you don´t want, uncheck it. It won´t remove the problem, only prevent it (maybe). You can also do this in the registry but it takes alot longer time. |

i do too, im just saying, the average teen doesnt know much about programming, and the registry, and its best not to go there if you dont know what your doing

Go to your command prompt and open msconfig (type msconfig)... when it comes up, check your start-up items for spyware/malware. This won't delete them, but it'll stop it from running when windows is turned on! |

interesting... do you get those icons? because its not a spyware removal program or anything. its a program made by the creator of those icons to remove those icons and that all it does... |

not good....Luckely i have norton anti virus 2005 WHO DIDNT DETECTV THE TROJAN !!!! |
