You might have to unplug it but before that look for a reset button which most (if not all) have. Sometimes you are lucky and it is an actual switch that you can see. Sometimes it's a little pin pole that you need to stick a thin rod, like a paper clip to reset it. You usually have to hold the button down a few seconds. The reason it might not let you log in is because somebody (probably your parents) changed the user name. Which you should do after every re-set of the router. YOU DON'T WANT TO KEEP THE DEFAULT PASSWORD!
It makes it too easy for somebody to hack onto your network.
LOL my parents using the computer and changing the router password. they hardly know how to use a computer let alone log onto my router and change the password.
anyway I tried the reset button and it worked. I tried it before though and it didnt work then... maybe because before I just pushed it for a second and this time I held it in for 10 sec.
Is the highest port 9999? because I want to open up every port so it's like there is no firewall in the router because I want to host servers in a bunch of different games and I don't know what port each of them uses so if I open every port I shouldn't have a problem with the router blocking the ports of any games.

Com'on don't be a Hoser. Why would you want to remove something that could help prevent a hacker (newbie) from getting into your computer. Why do you want to ruin your life. It is not recommended by me or anybody that has any sense at all. Not that I am saying that you don't have any.

well if the internet was plugged directly into my comp I wouldn't have the router firewall anyway... I would just be depending on my software firewall. So it would be like the internet is connected directly to my comp if I opened all router firewall ports and I can just depend on my software firewall...
Mos tof the time a hardware firewall is better than a software one
Not all the time though. Depends on the manufacturer of each.
Back in RF... getting back into the swing of things!

Yes that is true but a hardware firewall is always good to have and it doesn't eat up your computer resources like a software firewall would. JUST LEAVE THE DAMN PORTS CLOSE!
