Quoting molodiets
I've been disapointed by guildwar. It's supposed to be a massively multi-player online RPG.

Quoting Guild Wars FAQ
Is Guild Wars an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)?

Guild Wars has some similarities to existing MMORPGs, but it also has some key differences. Like existing MMOs, Guild Wars is played entirely online in a secure hosted environment. Thousands of players inhabit the same virtual world. Players can meet new friends in gathering places like towns and outposts where they form parties and go questing with them. Unlike many MMOs, when players form a party and embark upon a quest in Guild Wars, they get their own private copy of the area where the quest takes place. This design eliminates some of the frustrating gameplay elements commonly associated with MMOs, such as spawn camping, loot stealing, and standing in a queue in order to complete a quest.

Guild Wars takes place in a large virtual world made up of many different zones, and players can walk from one end of the world to the other. In Guild Wars much of the tedium of traveling through the world has been eliminated. Players can instantly return to any safe area (town or outpost) that they have previously visited just by clicking on it in the world overview map.

Rather than labeling Guild Wars an MMORPG, we prefer to call it a CORPG (Competitive Online Role-Playing Game). Guild Wars was designed from the ground up to create the best possible competitive role-playing experience. Success in Guild Wars is always the result of player skill, not time spent playing or the size of one's guild. As characters progress, they acquire a diverse set of skills and items, enabling them to use new strategies in combat. Players can do battle in open arenas or compete in guild-vs-guild warfare or the international tournament. Engaging in combat is always the player's choice, however; there is no player-killing in cooperative areas of the world.

Players in Guild Wars can play with or against players from around the world in the global tournaments and arenas. And while players are initially placed in a region based on their selected language (so that there is a greater likelihood that others will be speaking their language) they can join up in the always-available International District to form parties and to play with anyone from anywhere in the world.

By the way molo, it sounds like you need a guild. Guilds make things like getting parties together much easier, and you know those people arent going to bail on your or anything.

I've never really had many problems finding people to party with. And I know what you mean about the whole 'being alone' thing, which can be strange at some points. But it's also very handy, there's no 'kill stealing' etc..and it leaves options for quests much more open, because the game only has to worry about people doing that quest.

in wow, if u hit the npc first, its your kill, and you only get the loot. so u dont have to worry about loot stealing or anything like that, also, there isnt lines for completing quests, everyone can talk to the quest guy at once, ive never had a problem with any of those regular "mmo" problems in wow. its a lot better than guild wars. guild wars is easy, and u onyl get to lvl 20 or so. in wow, you can do sooooo many things, its absolutaly amazing. WORLD of warcraft is a perfect name for it, because its definitally an entire world.

When I first started playing Guild Wars, i agreed with you. The lvl 20 mac level thing I thought was bad. But now that ive made it there i can see why they put it in.

Instead of alot of mmos you have to keep leveling to lvl 60 so you can play against other people, otherwise you are just destroyed. In Guild Wars once you reach lvl 20 its all about skill.

You have to make do with what youve got, and work out the best ways to use it to its full potential. I takes alot more thinking to win, rather than just kill 5 billion monsters to win.

It's also, at this very moment and since it's release, the benchmark for visuals. It is the most beautiful game ever made and credit should go to the artists who rank up there with the Valve boys. Gabe agrees. If you can max out the settings it's just jaw-dropping. It also has alot of memorable moments.

This is true, if you hit first you can take the things you need, but can also share things like money with your party. Anything really interesting you "roll the dice" highest roll gets the prize. You also need to have a few people in youre group a Paladin, Priest and a Mage are good

If anyone needs to join a Guild come and join me in "Everlasting"

Sorr, but I had to do this World of Warcraft looks very nice, but I must say I think that Guild Wars is better, just have a look at a couple of these stunning visuals: (Taken by yours truly in-game)

Of course, all of this can be run on the lower end machines. Guild Wars is a technical marvel, running well on slow connections, and less powerful computers

That's not as beautiful, artistic or detailed.

Im sorry but WoW has the nicer visuals. Those Graphics are nothing compared to WoW. your arguement might be that its not very realistic but it wasn't designed to be. It was designed to be Fantasy, Fun and damn right amazing settings and Graphics.

Im going to moan at my mate tonight about that darn disk!
