Ummm... Who is going to pay for this.. Sony claims they have placed well over $400+ into the PlayStation 3, and that is a reasonable price.
Well, if you haven't seen news lately at a tech. site or saw Attack of the Show where the price was announced then now you know  |

How much!! 
No way is anyone going to pay that much just for a PS3. It might be powerful and have cool games etc. but for that price you can get a PC 
I know that the Xbox 360 is going to be cheaper then that... thank god  |

But think though, the PS3 will deliver better performance than most gaming pcs  Yea, and each single PS3 in production was about $498. So I think it is a "decent" price.
Now all I need to do is start a fundraiser saying Feed kids everywhere with a quenching SoBe Adrenaline, send money to sobe via PayPal or Money order, you can trust a name like sobe  |

Ouch...steep price. Well lets see, college isnt helping my funds much so it looks like I'll be stuck with a PS2 for a while.

HEY, I talked to SoBe(South Beach) Beverages and we have come to an agreement for me not to incorporate the SoBe name in any way with violence of any kind. I sent in my little yellow slip they sent me via Mail with my signature
Anyway, think about this though, it comes with Blu-Ray and HD technology
A blu-ray DVD player could cost about that much, so your getting an all in one system for a single price  |

U guys are still lucky because i am stuck with the Ps 1.In Malaysia PS2 and X Box are RM 1000 or RM 998 (Ringgit Malaysia}PS2 games cost like RM 100 or RM 300 if they are original same for the X Box.PS2 and X Box games are hard to find and i am sure that 98% of them are pirated.Original pc games are even hard to find.99% are pirated i think .Half- Life 2 and Doom 3 cost like RM 234.To expensive for me .
 So for u gamers out in America or any other country be grateful for what u have and sometime stop and think about gamers in other countries that are not fully hi-tech or have enough money |

I dont have a powerful videocard.I think i am gonna save my money and buy ATI,s new video card the GECUBE X850XT.I think it will be powerful enough to run Doom 3 or Quake 4 at the highest resolution without slowing the game.The videocard looks really HOT)  .If u dont have enough money to buy an ATI Radeon u can get a POWERCOLOUR
X850 PRo for Rm1,599.U will get 90% of the performance for acard that is 25% cheaper.Aint it great.To know how much it costs in dollars divide the price with 4=399.75 $ |

Don't hurt yourself there. A Powercolor IS a Radeon depending on which Radeon series you get
ATi Technologies only makes the chipsets and their own line. If you want performance don't get the ATi ATi Radeon X850XT, but rather more the Sapphire is probably the best choice for Radeon cards or ATi cards period. The Sapphire Radeon X850XT

You say you are poor and can't near afford a PS3 but you can afford a vid card that costs $100-$200!! With that you would need a PCI-E compatable motherboard, otherwise you get the AGP 4x-8x one which would be pointless really... Such a good card put to waste on AGP when it's faster on PCI-E for $4 more...... |

The PS2, and XBOX were about £200+ when they were released...
Will I buy one? Absolutely.
£200-300 is what you pay for a high end graphics card... you only get what you pay for |

Yeah...VERY roughly. Seen as Sony products end up being dearer than the actual currency conversion. They are loosing aboy 70-100$ on each one sold, in that sense I can't see it as unfair. How much was the PS2 originally?
It is alot but it will drop in price eventually and Sony have enough hardcore fanboys who are willyin to pay it. I'll wait to see the games first before I judge if it's worth it or not. |

My comments of roughly was not a "knock" at your estimate it was at the fact that it would be dearer than £226 by the time it's released here. Closer to 300 I reckon, they dominate the European market so they'll be confident of high sales.
I doubt it'll be alot more expensive than PS2 so meh, the news is no surprise. |
