They are built to remake all the current genre but in higher resolution with better textures etc. If it is just another "update" generation then I won't be buying either of them. Same goes for Nintendo, although they, at least, are going to be doing something different. Also, Terminator20, the PS2 was priced at $200..... Not $400... How long do you think that will take Anyway, if you plan on getting HD(High Definition) or Blu-Ray DVDs in the future for any purpose then this is a must have.
