Well the reason I am asking what maps you guys want to run is that I could probably run a server for 10 people(cable connection). I would need a final list with links to those maps that you guys want hosted. I wil be home that weekend. If it was the following weekned, then forget it. Getting pootang that weekend from exgirlfriend. |

On behalf of Eos and I, here are the official plans for International Red Faction Frag Day.
-It will be held on July 10th
-The server will be run by Mononucleosis and will be called I.R.F.F.D
-It will rock!
These are the maps that will be used:
KOZ Cubes
mf_AllAroundTheWorld
Jerusalem
RTS A Bugs Life
Tiderunners
Island Jam
Steeners Station
Both RFU2-KillBill and RFU-TempleOfDoom are currently only availible for download from Pack 1 of the RFU2 Map-Pack
World Of Cubes 2
The default map Badlands will also be included!

We put in a default map for some reason or another. Badlands is huge, good for lots of players. If u dont like it, it'll take u away from the screen and stop u from stuffing ur eyes  |

It's not that I don't like Badlands, it's just it's on all the time. IRFFD should be about custom maps, of which mappers put a lot of time and effort into. You can play Badlands all day every day if you want as it's always on a server.
May I also suggest some more maps? I personally don't think 11 is enough for a weekend fragfest. Maybe up it to 15.
My choices would be:-
Lotsa's Lounge
Sorrow's Ski-Jump from the RFU1 Pack
NC Jump n Frag and
Lotsa's Lighthouse
Have a look at them and see what ya think. They are all good for a large crowd IMO

Well what i was hoping, was for people to just play RF online with their default maps mainly, and we can host dedicated servers with custom maps. Therefore, the THQ server would be jammed full

sounds like fun. ill try and get around to killin yall
like the rotation, theres a few ive never played, and some of my favorites.
i would like to back mad_ferrit on his additions. those are great maps to play with lots of people.
keep the default map. that way...if we get a new player joining for the first time, hell be able to see what the games all about, and might decide to join the community. always nice to have fresh meat in the game  |
