Quoting hA Warlord | Remove AVG and get Avira instead it's a very good virus program and uses next to nothing in memory.
And no firefox should not use that much memory, i suggest that you try Opera and see if you have the same problem with that.
But i doubt that you will have the same problem. |
Good man.
I use Opera/Avira at home myself |

Yes i started using Avira just a few weeks ago when my NOD32 "Another good choice if you want a paid product" expired and i will probably stick with it for a while. |

What?
You have to go through all this to optimize a browser? Never had to do that, never would. I'd just switch to a proper internet browser which works right from start on. |

erm, maybe what you see there is normal?
Who says it isn't
Probably firefox calls home or somewhere else (depending on what crap you installed) each time you run it.
Establishing connections does barely have ANY relation to memory issues.
We are talking about Megabytes, if not Gigabytes here.

No, I'm for sure thats someone else. I don't have a screen shot of the other times i caught him in cmd. But I'm positive its someone. And when I tried running spybot, he crashed my comp right away.
Plus, this isn't only a memory issue, the memory will be in good condition and I'll still crash. |

Try running spy bot without an Internet Connection then. |

Or try running anti-spy and anti-virus programs in safe mode without a network connection. |
