Hello All,

Since Lego has been released now, you all must have came across 2 Cel-Shaded maps. one is CTF-Island Sweep and the other is DM-Fission Cage.

Well for those willing to learn and map with a cool cel-shaded technique, then here is a video tutorial to show you exactly how.

Please let me know what you think of the video, so I could possibly improve on it.

Very well done. It would be great to see more RED video tutorials. Makes it a lot easier to learn. Are there already more out there?

a mover group for every single brush in a map and the necessity to copy and resize every single brush and texture it inside outside!!!!

Cel-shading is much more complicated i thought it would be. And there is always that annoying black frame around each brush.

You can always keep adding the air brushes to the same mover.

I wouldn't call this cel-shading, not even close. It still produces a nice, cartoony effect, though. I approve this technique, just not the label.

GoOd video Spikey2005 Like you say, is sad that it take twice amount of polygon, particularly for RED!! We also cannot do Geo brush with this, unless you want duplicate black hole brush stay after Geo. Maybe it give a funny little mood when enter black hole to enter a room

Just in case, to save you time and give better control for you, when you want to select all Face to texture them, do Shift + S, it select all...

makes it feel more cartoonish. I know that there is a way to make cel-shading using photoshop but I really don't know exactly how it's done.

Cel-shading is basically flat shading with no gradient. It's very simple to do in 2D media, but in 3D media its almost impossible to accomplish unless the application is designed to utilize it.
