I know some of you RF'ers love run maps these days.
Well at this moment in time, I am constructing one of the first run maps that needs 2 players! Thats right! Run-Cooperative!
You will be given obsicals and courses where it requires 2 players to work as a team in order to complete puzzels.
I have brain stormed a lot of idea's through my head about this and am very conferdent it will be a new expierence for all runmap rf'ers out there.
Those who do not have a friend to play with can run through the single player course instead, but this might change depending if I can fit it all in!
Here is a small teaser screen shot, to get your peckers going .

I know for a fact that there are a great number of fans of the "Run Map Phenomenon".
Take your time developing the product and when you are happy with your creation - upload it and we can distribute it.

Uhm, yea because he borrowed the textures of Portal
Only the lighting isn't and can't be as "good" as the one of Portal.
You should make sure you are not using 1024x1024 Portal textures, I can't remember if it was you or goober, but those textures cause very bad pixel flickering. There is not one single 1024 texture in RF. (the results will be worse with AF on, I really think it destroys the look the map.) |

The flickering occoured on any of the 3 PCs I've had past the few years, and on all monitors.
If the monitor is too blurry or the resolution, texture detail too low you will most likely not notice it.
I think that Dust (the CS map remake) also greatly has that problem.
Its all ok if the texture has not much detail. (stone, sand and grass would have lots of detail, just try that out.) Also the scaling does matter. If you hugely scale down your 1024 texture you'll surely have no problems (I can imagine you've used it for the PC skin, monitor skin, keyboard skin etc?) , but you won't be doing that for floor or wall sides in small maps. |

So? Im not going to design this map so that your computer can handle it.... It looks alright anyways and I have not any flickering textures. |

Personally, I don't think you should scale the textures. RF was designed to look best at a specific scale (1x1m = 64x64px, I think). Using your own scale makes it look worse because RF was not designed around that scale. Just my thoughts. |

Wow, if mine couldn't, pretty much no ones from here can.
I was just mentioning it, because people tend to overlook it.
Yes assman, when you use 1024 textures and use them at default scale (apply map) there will appear the problems. |

I've never had any problems with high resolution textures |
