I'm really stuck on this one. I can't spend MORE than 200 and I want the best card for the value, even if it means I ahve to go for open box items on newegg.

Out of that list if you're looking for best performance in games, the X1950 will be the best choice. |

I highly recommend the x1950 series. Its only a few dollars more than the x1900's, but it has a huge increase in performance. I currently have an x1950XT 256Mb and I've never regretted buying it over a DX10 card. |

There you go, X1950 will be better meant for gaming over that 8600GTS |

If it interests you at all, the x1950XT is excellent for overclocking. I managed to safely get an extra 100Mhz out of the core clock with stock cooling. With my mid-level CPU and 1GB of RAM I get 120-200 fps in CSS, 1280*1024 with all settings maxed. |

I personally think you should've gotten an eVGA branded one, but XFX is still a great brand as well. And one thing about XFX warranty is, if you sell it, the warranty covers the buyer as well.
Enjoy your new card, hope all goes well for you ^^ |

I thought you couldn't spend more than $200 on a video card? At $280 you could have gotten two x1950's. They are, IMO, slightly better in performance than the latest NVidia series, lacking only DX10. I think you made the wrong decision there, but its your computer, not mine. |

x1950 (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10005265) = not good
The ramdac is @ 400mhz , and it's not even showing up the gpu clock speed.
At the moment I have a x1650, and this one doesn't look much better
8800GT = Good choice.
A few benchmarks to show how much more worth a 8800 is.

The x1950 has the same core clock speed as the latest NVidia series and the RAM is incredibly easy to overclock. From my personal experience, the x1950 outperforms every other card... To be fair, though, I haven't seen any of the new NVidia cards in action. |

Go to the first site (x1950) and look for the clock speed...400Mhz
My current card has 400Mhz ramdac. (x1650 Pro)
It's set to 400Mhz while using DDR2 technology, this doubles the speed to 800Mhz real speed.
If you find new nvidia cards with 400mhz ramdacs, then you should also take a look at the VRAM type. GDDR3 is the most advanced memory set, which actually has 4 different ramdacs.
An example: a DDR RAM is not the same as DDR2 since it's clock speed is doubled by the fsb.
There are several 8800's with ramdacs of at least 2100 MHz. |
