It's all just opions so everybody just RELAX.

Quoting Toms Hardware
Overall: If we are talking about who's the winner is best overall mouse, I'd say it's G5 just because it's a better mouse to use in various programs not just games. If we are talking about the best mouse for gaming and specifically for FPS-games then I'd say Copperhead might be slightly better than G5.

It is no secret that expectations were high for both of these products, and I was certainly looking forward to evaluate them. Because of the nature of these products, we always recommend our readers try to have a first taste at them at a local computer store when possible. Now having all that said, and to make the long story short, if someone asked me which gaming mouse they wanted to purchase, the Razer Copperhead would be my first choice over the Logitech G5.

Now who do you believe? I like Tom's review only because Logiech is all I have ever owned.
I like my Logitech MX518 and so far I haven't had a problem with it and it feels great in my hand.

lol, I wasn't trying to start anything

The G5 is a nice mouse, I won't say it's not, just, if you're into competitive gaming, it helps to have a.... Well, better mouse.

The Copperhead is a great choice as it's been one of Razer's more successful mice. Kinda just depends on how much you are willing to spend I'd tend to say. As the Razer Deathadder does weigh in at $50-$60, and the Razer Lachesis around $75-$90.

And I agree Frank, I loved my MX518. The optical lens on it stopped working after about half a year of heavy use at events, etc. So I looked into buying another one, then my friend that reviews the hardware said not to get it due to it being a rather common issue with 518s breaking. So, just to make sure, I searched around forums and such, and it seems it wasn't just me... That's when I really got into looking at the differences in mice.

One thing I think is funny though, I was reading an article on TomsHardware or another respected review site(don't remember which one) about the Microsoft IntelliMouse 3.0, seems it's more of a collectors item, that people are actually placing in glass casings to take to LANs and such, lol.

I'm definitely not saying grab what the "pros" use, I personally wanted to just try another option away from Logitech, and I couldn't have chosen a better product. My aim and reaction ingame has increased by at least 30%. Definitely took a while getting used to due to the difference in design over my previous 518, but totally worth it.

I have used my MX518 for 2 years or so, and haven't had any problems with it. But it just never felt right in my hand. I still have the old IntelliMouse, and use it on my laptop at work. I got the Sidewinder yesterday, and so far it feels good. I also read reviews before I decided, and all of them put the Sidewinder up in the top with G9.
But as Frank says; it is all opinions and personal preferences.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
