It is possible to operate it without all of the default textures and such - not worth the aggravation IMO. You can easily download "stand-alone RED Editor" (Which is available from Apox-Clan downloads).. It's only a couple megabytes, So obviously all the textures aren't included.. I was very much appreciative of the program.. I was being paid money to be somewhere and using RED..12 hours a week for $100.. The closest thing to Professional RED custom Mapping perhaps? RED Editor Stand Alone - available from Apox Clan Website.. ( Link is on affiliates ).. I don't mean to be a downer but if one is going to map for RF, one should have the game too. That way the mapper can actually test the map in progress. You don't need RF installed at ALL, To Build geometry in RED. No textures (AT ALL) plus no way to test your maps... I wouldn't be using it anyway.
