Quoting Spikey2005 | Quoting Ghostkid | My normal LAN also doesnt work
Same problem.
Also i dont think my router blocks the mac adress, hence i can browse the net on xp fine. (Multiboot)
Or do the Operating systems have different max adresses ?
And btw my mac filtering is off |
Nah nah, doesnt block your mac address, its just that ur mac address is not added to the router. Some routers have this cool feature that require you to input the mac address for wireless connectivity. anyone else who connects to your router, without their mac address in the router, will not be able to get access to the router or the internet... its a cool security feature. My router has it.
I cant connect my Ipod touch to our wireless router because my dad needs to add the mac address to the router to enable it. I can enter the user name and password correctly, but it wont give me DNS server address and such because the mac address is not on the router.

See, I cannot go on the internet with my ipod unless i obtain the missing data. |
**drool** Ipod Touch.
Nah it isnt the mac adress that would have been blocked because all my other wireless devices (Psp, laptop, NDS,...) work fine without hadding to add anything.
btw is it illegal to "Hack" into someones Wireless network ? |
