Well it’s a program that adjusted their own gpu clock speed making them move faster. Signs of this include teleporting of them on your end and very high ping registering on the server. This kind of hack can be turned on and off and the results would be less teleporting and a somewhat noticeable difference in ping.

I know it’s a program because buddy of mine showed me it in game and told me how it worked. Slayer seems to know the nitty gritty of what it does.

Welcome!

I know this topic is a little old. But I do know there is a "speed" mod being used or has been used many times by players I have known over the years. A couple have admitted this and no longer play the game and have no reason to make something up or mislead the truth in any way.

Concerning player movement and lag. I think most of the jerky movement by some players is nothing more or less than the fact that the server sends out the same size UDP packets continuously. The fallout occurs when your connection and then your PC attempts to take on that packet and apply it. Likewise, as the information is being sent back to the server from your PC, your connection and your PC's speed can dramatically effect what you then "see" on your screen. Tick-Rate or server speed is VERY important in most online games. But regardless, your PC and your connection to your ISP will cause things to happen back at the server and then back to you which make you take a second look. Like the player who is in one moment in your face and then he's gone and reappears across the map from you.

I have seen this happen with players who's ping is in the low 50's or less. And I have seen it happen with players who's ping is 300+.
Again, it's not always the "ping" or latency which causes this effect. Packets can and do get lost. Your PC may not process a packet. It may be refused at the moment it hits your port for some reason. But in a nano-second that next packet is knocking on your port and now everyone is suddenly jumped across the room or whatever.

All I know is it happens. I see it in UT and in America's Army and many other games which use UDP packets.

But yes, there is a speed mod out there. I have not played the game in a long long time and so I don't know if it's something common now but I know it used to be used...

I have seen a player whose jerky movement was obviously due to a mod as it was really regular and he was walking faster than any other player. It was like he was spawning then disapearing then reapearing a litle further and disapearing as soon... and on and on..

Yesterday I had a server up for a couple of hours and banned 6 people and also kicked some (and some kicked in his CENSORED )
My friend is new to the game and I wanted to show him.
It didn't take 5minutes to ban the first modder.
You cheaters suck.

There will be allot of modders now....I found out «M» Clan was back
They mostly play in the «M» Clan server but when its not up they join other peoples servers
Just tell them about the «M» server and hopefully they will go

Sorry, but that is incorrect. I myself have done numerous gpu/mem ocs on past and current video cards as well as current and past procs. Sorry, I had to comment on this as it gives a wrong view on overclockers/enthusiasts.

Think about Red Faction as this, played in almost every country for dirt cheap. Thus, why people grab it. You connect to a U.S. server @ 40 latency, and someone from Germany connects @ 112 latency, the lag on their end is similar to CounterStrike's cl_interp vs. LAN. They will see things most likely 1.35 ms before you see them. The main effect causing this is their "non-shown" lag. Best example I can describe, is if someone is warping in RedFaction, and you come to a corner, you see noone, then all of a sudden he warps to that spot at the edge of the corner, scaring the living crap out of you.

I have the program that you are Referring too. I used it a couple times to see what it did. Its really funny, as you can hear the rapid pitter patter of your feet running at a high rate. The reason you warp , is because of the computer symbols that flash the whole time. Like your loseing connection. Really it is kind of a useless utility(not a mod). Hope this explains what you are seeing in the never ending cheaters world.

I know what hes talking about.
When they move really fast all it is really is just the ping difference. I remeber the lower the ping was then the slower you move, but if you have a high ping on lets say a sorta high pinged server, then u move really fast. I've seen people move really fast b4 but i was able to move like them too.
One time i was able to move fast and a guy accused me of using biohazrd? lol
but ya moving fast is just another annoying problem of rf im almost sure its not a hack.

Even though it is possible, why would people go so far to edit their tables file

I my self have not come across this yet, but i do know causes it is either lag or program e.g speed gear witch really speeds up your computer by up to 100%.

and yes they may be modding but there is only a few of them, but i recommend speed gear to every one if they are waiting for a masive download or you have to mutch **** on your computer it runs slowly so use it.

p.s if u have got loads of crap on ur pc and u want it to run fast again, use speed gear iit will run smoothly like how u just turned on your pc for the first ever time, you click a file/ program and it comes up straight away awww,

u have to reigters after you have used it 15 times but get reigstraghiton details off www.serials.ws [ ignore the porn though] the bad side about the website.

have fun with it [serach speed gear in google to download]
