Hello RF'rs...
I've been playing Red Faction now for about 2 years,and I've seen various cheats come and go like many of us have...
Lately it seems like several people are using some sort of "Speed-Hack" to make thier player movements much faster...
For example in a DM match with say 8-12 people,Most of us are pinging about 30-60ms...Then a new player will join with 170-250 ping,and the guy will move much faster than anyone else in the game,and reaction time's are much quicker with these player's than what you see with other player's with those ping times...
These player's will have reaction times so fast that i can hardly even get a shot off,before being killed,even with my realitively low 40ms ping,and thier's a lagging 180-250 ping...
Is this a hack? or the result of a speedy computer? or E.S.P?

Well no, they have slow connections so the refresh rate to your PC makes them go fast... |

Sometimes I think it matters on framerate, like I recently upgraded to a better vid-card and I noticed that movements were much smoother and I was able to frag people with a little more ease.  |

Well it’s a program that adjusted their own gpu clock speed making them move faster. Signs of this include teleporting of them on your end and very high ping registering on the server. This kind of hack can be turned on and off and the results would be less teleporting and a somewhat noticeable difference in ping. |

I've noticed the same thing latelly but its really hard to say whether its a form of cheating or merely a lag issue. A few nights back I tried following a player who seemed to be moving faster than anyone else but it wasn't consistent. One moment they moved faster and the next they seemed to get stuck in one place for a short time. I just put it down to lag in that case. Other times I've seen this its been not so easy to dismiss. |

I havent really seen anyone just moveing faster, that wasnt obvious. There is a program that makes you run faster ,but it doesnt fine tune down enough to make you say hmmm. What i hate, is all the scopes people are useing on there guns. Assault rifle particularly. I caught an old time player just yesterday useing one on there rail gun,peaking through a huge rock. I wont mention his or her name, no need. |

What really bugs me about that is the inconsistency. Some GFX cards will allow it and others don't. I've been through 3 cards with Redf Faction and only one of them allowed scoping through solids.
Did I use it when I could. You're darn toot'in I did LOL, but not to the point of being unsportsmanlike.. hmm is that one word or should it be hyphenated? lol |

When i said scope on rail, i meant sniper rifle scope on the rail.It allows you to zoom through very thick objects. It doesn't matter what card you have |

your computers hardweare speeds arnt going to change how fast some one moves in game, internet connection can, but not your hardware |
