My Mother has been dead for quite some time , so she is unable to speek , So I think its best to keep her out of this, and Ive Tested the .vpp and I think it is great , another step for man kind in that mad world of RED ... Good work ! |

Precisely what I wanted to test with you the other night, but in relation to the emitters and damage regions. 
Teleporting HMG would be great ... especially on the PTGN server ... goddamn noobs. |
The Syncronised Join late fix is only nessesary when using "one way" movers (resets 0 times) ... So If you have a door that can only be opened once, This trick will make it work proplerly so as long as your emitters and continous_damage reset after a certain time then they will remain in sync. |

OK, but will it be the case that the movers are working if joining the server after they are activated and before they are deactivated? ... I still got a bit to learn about MP.

BTW, I think you will find that the keyframes will be in their original position when you join the server, even if they have been activated. However I am not sure and would wait for confirmation before believing anything I got to say. |

This is very VERY very sad post for me, because i found the "Trigger - Script Name Item" in fall 2004 and is one of the reason that push me to release my Xmod to public... I did a search on the keyword "syncro" fews days ago to refind a post, because i see someone talked about client/server 'bug' and i fall on this topic "testing needed" by Killiad... That's hurt me badly, i dont have words, but just a bad feeling that ruin one of my innovation in the head of RF players. Only because i waited and wanted to make a big surprise for the RF community and at the same time boost the mood of Xmod to have a bigger cummunity... Is why you can read on Xmod theses 2 features since April 1, 2005 when i create CDC page.

The basic goal is to hack the control room to open a giant safety to get the flag. The big safety have a room in the center, where you can desable the forcefield protection around the flag on top of this room. You can be traped in and evade it by few way. Each team have more control over trigger in there base, like; the safety/doors/special like a gas defence in the control room. Because the opposite team can hold the enemy control room to access trigger they cant normaly activate, like; doors and the elevator in the safety to get out of it. |
I create problably the most complex system for the RF community with my 'Combat Suit' that also require 'Script Name Item'. 'Xmod Team ID key' to 'many event possibilities', 'Script Name Item' push the boundary of RF even futher...
This was a PM message to 'NoFrankClan' that talk more about Xmod during i planned a BIG Xmod news... Is somewhere between September 2005 and maybe litle more in 2006 because my .doc was created in 'September 13, 2005' but is the second message in... Anyway, is not realy a proof, but i give you this text to give more information on Xmod before the BIG news that will show more what you can expect from Xmod.

Xmod will give a new methode to mapper to create objective. I never see it by anyonelse, is effective and it work well in multiplayer. About the implemention of a voice program, i dont know if i will do it. I wanted to promote all the work done in L4Y and is fans to give a easy opportunity (installer/shortcut) to play them with everyone have Xmod, because 1 big problem of RF, is people never have the same maps to join others, is the reason why my installer will be probably arround 60MB - 80MB. For my maps, i dont know if i will wait more to release more variation of what i can achieve with RED, because of the limitation, i cannot show all things i want in 1 map lol... Also, all Xmod version modification take time even if majority of the maps have minor change. I plan maybe at the launch, promote my mod with a series of match Volition/L4Y/my friend, a bit before or this summer for the vacation? Is what i want, but it can also be reported 3 month later If you have goOd tips about to run dedicated server or bugs that i need to know, plz tell me. I will use RFSA 4 with LazyBan 1.30 (is imperative that i will use all thing to exterminate cheater even if is not everyone will run my Xmod shorcut), if many people join Xmod, others will have no choice to follow... Reply something if you want.

Sorry to don’t share my technique when you wanted it adambehrend...
Im surprised that nobody RED veteran like REDFROG dint know this and i also never see Volition use it… I feelled weird to give what i know because this feature is a big part of my mod. Is not only to have the honor to release this technique, but also to create the bigger event possible with the Xmod launch, because RF community is small.
My curiousness push me to look trought my 'backup folder', i have a file last modified dated of 'Febeary 04, 2006' but it dosen't proof anything for you without doubt, because is in my CPU... If you download it, it will reset the date and i dont think people will take the plane just to see this, anyway!!!
Well, the time reach me... That's is a discovery that open many door for RF mapper, now because everyone know this new technic, use it in your maps!!! Like everything in the world, you have the choice to think what you want, but in my head and for my friends, 'Trigger - Script Name Item' is truly a Xmod feature!

i don't think anyone here has done a thing with this "discovery" yet ...
Infact i kinda forgot about it ...
im sure if you have been working on this mod for two years i bet people will find it quite impressive ... |

I want to be 100% sure everything work great and nicely tweaked, because some features need to be tested client/server, dedicated and listen server. My friend will build another cpu to make the Xmod - Official server and probably Ventrilo too. Before launch the mod to public, i will need extra players to test fews things like; lag and if i can let the .vfx bullets on weapons, because we can see only 36 at the same time, after exceeding this limit, players cannot shoot anymore. I optimize the life time of bullet, even when you consider velocity, i dont think to support 32 players... Most of the RF server put the maximum of 16 player anyway to prevent lag, if it dosen't work i will need to remove .vfx, maybe sniper and another gun will stay with it.
Also, Xmod version of the RF community Mappack and original take time, i will put less time now on modification for others maps and make update along the time people will play it. Im surprised to see many maps with 'non-grided' brush even in retail maps... I realy need to focus on CTFX01 now, but is tricky, because the map have a blend of things that RF engine was not build for, like alot of movers, outside map, and the bigger the level is, the more it take poygons, and of course i want Geo... Is why i need to optimize everything, i will not have the choice to cut, maybe by limiting Geo region and abandon the flying transport to reach the ennemy base.
And i dont want to just put the mod for download, but also manage the Xmod cummunity that take also time...

Is more about a year if you concider time to learn RED and test what RF can achieve. Xmod's will not focus on graphics, but in tweaking things to make RF more in my taste, less easy kill, alot of Geo and some news gameplay features.
I hope everyone will enjoy my modification and ENABLE & USE LazyBan 1.30 each time they play
