sobe I read it a little closer and all that happen was that the text got bigger.
But I see why you wouldn't want to post how to do it. It will allow a cheater to keep changing his IP just to annoy a server. Until the server has no choice but to ban the AOL IP, or do a wild card ban. |

Quoting bigblack40 | Quoting Assaultman67 | well, limewire will really kill it especially, since connection speed is a bottleneck on performance for online gaming.
Internet browser windows will not usually cause much lag though because they aren't doing anything that requires a connetion or lots of CPU time. (unless it refreshes all the time in the background ... )
Basicly, if you want a better ping ... turn off the things in the background (but some cause more harm than others) or boot moochers off computers nearby that share the same connection ... (my case usually) |
Dnt just kill limewire because of that i used a program Called "NoAdaware" said i had spyware do you want to delete, i said yes now Limewire dsnt work |
... Lime wire is spyware ... it is built so you can't run the program without having that spyware on your PC. yeah, it sucks ... bearshare (a program that uses the sam "gnutella" network) is connected to some malware called Usave. delete Usave ... bearshare doesn't work. thats how most of those programs work ... how else do you think they benefit from giving those programs out free? |

yeah, but it's got spyware built into it ... some Anti-spyware stuff detects it and kills it some don't ... hence why most of them say (use at your own risk!) because some programs are attached to spyware, and when you remove the spyware ... the program will not run without it. |

I run anti-ad ware software every time I install lime wire when I am looking for something I can't find elsewhere. It always finds spy ware and I always delete it. Then lime wire won't work any more. Then I had to go into my registry and delete what it installed there, the files stay there even after doing a full un-install. So yes Lime Wire is spy ware or an ad popper. |

i have bearshare, I put it on an old PC though because its got stuff on it too ... (some U Save pop-up). it may not have strings on it for the retail version but im not going to buy it just to find out.
Programs such as Kazaa, bearshare, limewire, (anything that uses the Gnutella Network) is built in with pop-ups or spyware.

I have a question. How do you even go about minimizing RF? I mean, everytime I hit the windows key or use ctrl-alt-del, my game minimizes, pops back up, and spins out of control into oblivion, until I kill the program after the 20 minute time period it takes, or get pissed off and restart my computer. Any help on this? I mean, I try to keep my messengers off because of this, but there are time when I have to have some windows open when Im playing, so I can check back later. |

You can Minimize Red Faction with Windows 98se and below using the windows key, Ctrl + Esc, or Alt + Tab. On XP you can NOT.
This is the reason I kind of miss Win98se on my pc <_< |
