i have made my first gun model and saved it as a .3ds file, now that do i do to get it into red?  |

as.... Cluttar object? or Pickup item, FP weapon?
You cant save it as 3ds, you need the RF plugins, they are in the RFtoolkit... theres also alot of great max features you cant use in RF. What version of max do you have??? |

as a weapon skin really, im making a rail gun skin, ive got ccrunch but i cant figure out how to use it.. or how to set it up as the new weapon skin... |

If it is just the skin, the texture on the gun, then you don't even need 3ds max4 or RF tool kit all you need is vpp builder and a good texture editing program like photoshop. |

Do you have RFbone animations done? RF cant handle most of 3ds max's features, sadly... |

I didnt tell him to download photoshop, I was just saying that in order to make skins you will need an image editing program like photoshop. Photoshop was an example of a program he would need to do what it is he wanted to do, and I used it because it is one of the most well known image editing programs. I REPEAT I did not tell him to download it.
Gosh people read before posting please. Or am I missing something because a post got deleted? |

May we please get back on my subject? The only thing I wanted to know was how to transfer and convert my .3ds into a working gun on Red Faction. I DO NOTwant to download any programs like photoshop or get a cd key from anyone on here. Thank you for who helps me on this... |
